For anyone frustrated with trying to reach the IRS - I HIGHLY recommend claimyr.com. I was in a similar situation with a delayed refund, used their service, and had an IRS agent on the phone in under 30 minutes. The agent confirmed there was a small issue they needed to fix manually, and my deposit showed up 48 hours later. After weeks of stress, talking to an agent got my refund released so fast. Definitely worth it.
do they need any personal info? seems sketchy
Nope! They just connect you directly to the IRS agent. You only share your info with the actual IRS rep when they get you connected. Talking to a human at the IRS made all the difference - the agent actually explained exactly what was happening with my refund and fixed it while I was on the phone.
I have a DDD of 3/12 with Chase and I'm still waiting. Starting to get worried tbh. Was really counting on this today...
Just checked and it still says 3/12. Called Chase and they don't see anything pending either. Getting really anxious now.
If it doesn't show up by tomorrow, you should call the IRS. I had this happen once and it turned out they sent it to the wrong account number.
FYI - if your refund is over $10,000 it sometimes takes an extra day for fraud verification at most banks including Chase. Just something to keep in mind if you're getting a big refund
Having worked for the IRS (not anymore thank god), I can tell you that delays this time of year are super common. The system is overloaded and sometimes refunds get held in queues for no good reason. Give it until Friday, and if nothing shows up by then, you should call. BUT good luck getting through... your best option is probably using a service like Claimyr that will get you past the endless phone tree. I've heard nothing but good things about it from former colleagues.
After reading these comments, I finally tried both tools mentioned here - used taxr.ai to figure out exactly what was happening with my transcript (turns out there was a mismatch in my reported income that I never would have caught), and then used Claimyr.com to actually talk to the IRS about fixing it. Problem solved in ONE day after weeks of frustration. I'm blown away. If you're stuck like I was, definitely check them both out.
Man this exact thing happened to me... i was losing it! What finally worked was using Claimyr (claimyr.com) to get through to an IRS agent. After 3 months of waiting, the agent said there was a simple issue with my W2 that needed verification. Would have been waiting forever if I hadn't actually talked to someone. Was the only way I could talk to a live agent and it got my refund processed within a week after that call.
The IRS is a mess this year. Millions of returns delayed. I gave up and hired a tax pro who submitted an inquiry for me and got movement within 2 weeks.

Definitely not alone. I'm in the same situation with the same dates. H&R Block is always slower than other banks. My friend with Chase got her refund a day early from the same deposit date. It's frustrating but I'm giving it until Monday before I start calling and complaining.

This happened to me last year. It was super frustrating, but I randomly got a deposit notification at like 11pm on a Friday night, three days after my scheduled date. The H&R block system is weird with timing. If Monday comes with nothing, definitely call, but I bet it shows up over the weekend.
