If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

So glad you got it working! I'm dealing with the same issue right now - been trying to transfer $1,400 from my Money Network card for the past week with no luck. Going to try your exact steps tonight. Quick question - when you re-added your bank account, did you have to wait for micro-deposits to verify it again, or did it let you use it right away since it was already in the system before?

When I re-added my bank account, it actually let me use it right away without waiting for micro-deposits! I think because the account info was already verified in their system previously, it just reactivated it. The whole process from re-adding the account to completing the transfers took about 20 minutes. Definitely try the late night timing and splitting it into smaller amounts - that seemed to be the key for me. Good luck!

Just want to add another workaround that worked for me when I had this same issue a few months ago. If the browser method still doesn't work, you can also try using the Money Network card at Walmart's Money Center to do a "cash transfer" to your bank account. They charge a small fee (I think it was like $3), but it's way faster than dealing with the broken online system. You just need your card, ID, and your bank routing/account info. The money showed up in my account the next business day. Not ideal to pay a fee, but sometimes it's worth it when you need the funds quickly!

Oh wow, I had no idea Walmart could do that! That's actually a really good backup option to know about. The $3 fee is totally worth it compared to the stress of dealing with the broken system. Thanks for sharing this - I'm definitely keeping this in mind for future issues. Do you know if other stores like CVS or grocery stores offer similar services, or is it mainly just Walmart?

As someone who just joined this community after struggling with EDD for weeks, this thread has been incredibly enlightening! I've been making probably 300+ calls over the past two weeks with zero success - just endless busy signals and the occasional dropped call after hours of waiting. Reading everyone's experiences here really validates that this isn't a "me" problem but a systemic issue with EDD's phone system. The callback service testimonials are fascinating - the fact that multiple people are reporting 20-40 minute connection times with Claimyr vs our hundreds of failed manual attempts is pretty compelling evidence that there's a better way to handle this. I'm definitely going to try it today. The way I see it, I'm already losing money by spending entire days tied to my phone instead of working or job searching. A $20-30 service that can actually get me connected seems like a no-brainer at this point. Thanks everyone for sharing real solutions and honest experiences!

PixelWarrior, you've summarized exactly what I've been thinking while reading through this whole thread! I'm also new to this community and was feeling so isolated dealing with this EDD nightmare. Seeing that literally everyone here has made hundreds of calls with minimal success really shows how systemic this problem is. Your point about losing money while tied to the phone all day is spot on - I hadn't calculated it that way but you're right, the opportunity cost of spending 8+ hours a day calling is way more than what these callback services charge. I'm convinced by all the success stories here and going to try Claimyr as well. This community has been more helpful in one thread than weeks of googling "how to reach EDD" and finding the same useless advice everywhere!

I'm in almost the exact same situation as you Emily! Been trying to reach EDD for about 3 weeks now and I've probably made close to 500 calls with only 2 successful holds that both ended in disconnects after 2+ hours. It's absolutely maddening. Reading through all these responses has been so validating - I was starting to think I was doing something fundamentally wrong, but clearly this is just how broken their system is now. The success stories with callback services like Claimyr are really compelling. Multiple people reporting 20-40 minute connection times vs our hundreds of failed attempts is pretty hard to argue with. I think I'm going to bite the bullet and try it today. Like others have said, I'm already losing way more than $20-30 by being stuck on the phone all day instead of working or job hunting. Thanks for starting this thread - it's been more helpful than weeks of searching for EDD advice online!

I had a similar issue with form DE 731 a few months ago. When the blue return envelope was missing from my packet, I called the EDD customer service line and they confirmed the mailing that @Aisha Mohammed shared is correct. Just make sure to send it certified or with tracking so you have proof it was delivered - I learned that the hard way when my first attempt got lost in the mail. Also, if you're still having trouble getting through to EDD by phone, try calling right when they open at 8am - that's when I had the most success reaching someone. Good luck!

@Dmitry Popov that s'really helpful advice about sending it certified mail! I didn t'think about getting proof of delivery but that makes total sense, especially with how unreliable can be these days. I ll'definitely try calling at 8am too - I ve'been trying to reach them for days with no luck. Did you have to wait long on hold even when calling right at opening time? And @Aisha Mohammed thanks again for the address, I m going'to mine out today with tracking like Dmitry suggested.

I went through this exact same situation last month! When I called EDD about the missing blue envelope, the representative told me I could also fax the DE 731 form to 1-916-464-3343 as an alternative to mailing it. This might be faster than regular if you're in a hurry to get your benefits processed. Just make sure to keep the fax confirmation receipt as proof you sent it. The mailing that @Aisha Mohammed provided is definitely correct though - I used that when I mailed mine and it went through without any issues. If you do it, I'd highly recommend following @Dmitry Popov's advice about using certified or tracking.

@Kiara Fisherman thank you for mentioning the fax option! I had no idea that was even possible - that could definitely be faster than waiting for delivery. Do you happen to remember if there were any specific instructions about what to write on the fax cover sheet, or did you just send the form by itself? I m'a bit nervous about making sure all my information gets processed correctly. Also appreciate everyone sharing their experiences here - it s'so frustrating when EDD doesn t'include all the necessary materials but at least we can help each other figure it out!

I'm in a similar boat - certified Sunday evening and my status changed to 'paid' this morning. From what I've experienced with direct deposit over the past few months, Wells Fargo is pretty reliable for EDD payments. I usually see the deposit hit my account by Tuesday night or Wednesday morning when I certify on Sunday. One tip that helped ease my anxiety: I set up account alerts with Wells Fargo so I get a text immediately when any deposit comes through. That way I don't have to keep obsessively checking my balance! You should be good for Friday's rent payment based on the timeline everyone else mentioned.

That's such a smart idea about setting up the account alerts! I'm definitely going to do that right now. It would save me from checking my account every hour like I've been doing today. Thanks for sharing your experience with Wells Fargo timing too - sounds like I should see it by Wednesday which gives me plenty of cushion before Friday. Really appreciate the reassurance!

I've been through this exact same anxiety with my first direct deposit switch! The good news is that once your status shows 'paid', you're basically in the clear. I switched from the Money Network card about 6 months ago and Wells Fargo has been super consistent - usually deposits hit my account Tuesday night/early Wednesday morning when I certify on Sundays. Since you certified Sunday at noon and your status already changed to paid, I'd expect to see it in your account tomorrow (Tuesday) evening or Wednesday morning at the latest. Wells Fargo processes EDD deposits pretty quickly compared to some other banks. You should definitely have the funds well before Friday for rent! Pro tip: download the Wells Fargo app if you haven't already - it updates faster than online banking and you can set up push notifications for deposits so you'll know the second it hits your account.

To all those having trouble reaching a human at California Unemployment. I just ran across this video that gave me a shortcut to reach a human. Hope it helps! https://youtu.be/Ize0EkN4HDI

From my experience calling EDD, their lunch break seems to vary by department and individual representatives. I've noticed the phones are harder to get through around 12-1pm, but I've also had success calling during that time when others were available. The automated system runs 24/7, but for live representatives, I'd suggest calling early morning (8-9am) or mid-afternoon (2-4pm) for better chances of reaching someone without hitting lunch breaks.

Thanks for sharing your experience with calling EDD! That's really helpful timing advice. I've been struggling to get through for weeks now. Do you have any other tips for getting past the busy signals? I keep getting the "all circuits are busy" message even when I call right at 8am. Also wondering if certain days of the week are better than others for calling?
