Just want to add that the benefit calculator on the Washington ESD website is pretty accurate. I used it before filing and my actual weekly amount was within $20 of what it estimated.
Bottom line - if you're eligible, the benefits in Washington are decent enough to help while you job search. Just be prepared for potential delays and have your documentation ready.
One more thing - make sure you file for the correct week. If you mess up the dates it can cause delays in your first payment.
Thanks everyone for all the helpful info! Feeling much more confident about filing my claim now. This thread has been super useful.
Don't stress too much about the exact amount until you file and see what Washington ESD says. The estimates are helpful but your actual benefit might be different based on their calculations.
Washington ESD has gotten much better at processing claims quickly compared to a few years ago. Involuntary termination cases usually move through the system without delays unless there are complications.
Remember that you can appeal if your claim gets denied for any reason, but with a clear layoff due to company restructuring you shouldn't need to worry about that. Just file as soon as possible and be thorough with your information.

The weekly claim filing is super important - you have to do it every week even if your claim is pending or you haven't received payments yet. If you miss a week you lose that week's benefits permanently.

•When exactly do I need to file the weekly claim? Is there a deadline?

•You can file starting Sunday for the previous week, and you have until the following Saturday. But don't wait - file early in the week if possible.

Honestly the hardest part is just getting started. Once you file your initial claim and get into the routine of weekly filings, it becomes pretty automatic. The money helps a lot while you're job hunting.

•Definitely file soon. The sooner you start the process, the sooner you'll start getting benefits. And remember - if you run into issues with ESD phone lines, that Claimyr service really does work.
