If you're having ongoing issues with weekly claims or certification questions, sometimes the local WorkSource office can help. They have staff who understand the UI system and might be able to assist or advocate for you with Washington ESD.
I tried my local office but they said they couldn't access my specific claim information, only provide general guidance.
That's why services like Claimyr can be so helpful - they actually get you connected directly to Washington ESD agents who can access your specific claim details and resolve issues in real time.
The bottom line: file your weekly claims on time, report all work and income honestly, meet your job search requirements, and keep detailed records. The certification process becomes routine once you understand what's expected.
One more thing to consider: even though there's no limit on filing, make sure you're genuinely looking for work during each claim period. Washington ESD does monitor job search activities and you could get disqualified if you're not actively seeking employment.
This whole thread has been enlightening. I had the same misconception about there being limits on unemployment claims. Turns out the Washington ESD system is more flexible than I thought!
If you run into issues after filing and need to speak with someone, I had luck using Claimyr when I couldn't get through on the phone. They handle all the calling and waiting, then patch you through when an agent answers. Check out their demo video to see how it works.
Thanks everyone for all the info! This thread answered way more questions than I had originally. Sounds like I don't need to worry about filing again if I need to.
Just want to add one final point - even though you CAN file multiple times, obviously the goal is to find stable employment. But for those of us in industries with seasonal layoffs or project-based work, it's good to know the safety net is there when we need it.

For anyone still reading this thread, I found that checking the Washington ESD website late at night (like 11pm-1am) sometimes shows updates that don't appear during busy daytime hours. Might be worth trying if you're obsessively checking anyway.

•Interesting tip! I've been checking constantly during the day but never thought to try late night.

•Yeah, I think their system updates run overnight or something. That's when I first saw my approval status change.

Bottom line - Washington ESD processing times are all over the place right now. Some get lucky with quick approvals, others wait months. The best thing you can do is file correctly, keep detailed records, and be persistent about following up if you don't hear anything after 3 weeks.

•Glad we could help. Remember to keep filing those weekly claims no matter what, and don't hesitate to reach out if you run into specific issues.
