If anyone's having trouble reaching Washington ESD about their 1099-G or tax withholding questions, I had good luck with that Claimyr service someone mentioned earlier. Got through to an agent in like 10 minutes instead of the usual hour+ wait times.
Thanks everyone for all the helpful info! I feel much better about the tax situation now. At least living in Washington means no state taxes on top of the federal ones.
Quick update for anyone following - just got my payment notification! Filed Sunday, got paid Friday morning. First payment took exactly 5 business days.
PSA: If you have direct deposit set up wrong or your bank info changed, that will definitely delay your payment. Double check all that stuff in your Washington ESD account.
Final tip - when you file your claim, make sure you have your federal EIN number handy. Washington ESD will ask for it to verify your business registration and wage records.
Update: I just filed using the information from this thread and the process was actually pretty straightforward. Used Claimyr to get through to ESD and they confirmed my eligibility right away. Thanks everyone!
thanks for this thread everyone. hitting the 26 week wall is scary but at least now i have some ideas of where to look for help
Update: I ended up trying Claimyr after reading about it here and was able to speak with a Washington ESD representative within 24 hours. They explained my options and helped me understand what programs I might qualify for after my benefits end. Definitely worth it for the peace of mind and actual information instead of just guessing what might be available.

The key thing is to not panic. Washington ESD has to verify a lot of information before they can approve claims, so it naturally takes time. As long as you were honest on your application, you should be fine.

•Thanks for the reassurance! The waiting is just nerve-wracking when you need the income

Been there! The anticipation is killer but try to stay busy with job searching in the meantime. That's required anyway once your claim gets approved.
