Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

honestly this whole thread makes me feel better about my situation. filed 2 weeks ago and was starting to worry something was wrong. sounds like delays are normal right now

For anyone still reading this thread later, remember that you can always check the Washington ESD website for current processing time estimates. They usually post updates during high-volume periods to let people know about expected delays. Where exactly on the ESD website do they post those processing time updates?
Usually on the main homepage or in the news/announcements section. They're pretty good about communicating when they're experiencing delays.

Bottom line - 6 months of full-time work should definitely qualify you in most cases. The gap before that job might complicate which quarters count, but you should still meet the basic requirements. When in doubt, apply and let Washington ESD make the determination.

if you do end up needing to call washington esd about your eligibility, definitely try that claimyr thing. i spent 3 days trying to get through before someone told me about it. got connected in like 30 minutes

My advice: file early, be patient with the system, and keep applying for jobs while you wait. The whole process takes longer than you'd expect even when everything goes smoothly.

One last thing - if your employer contests your claim (which sometimes happens with layoffs), be prepared to provide documentation about your job separation. Keep any layoff notices or emails about the reduction in force.
I'll definitely save all the paperwork from my layoff. Better to have it and not need it than the other way around.
