If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

Keep us posted OP! This thread has been really helpful for understanding what could go wrong with claims.

0 coins

Definitely will update once I know more. Thanks everyone for all the helpful suggestions!

honestly this whole thread makes me feel better about my situation. filed 2 weeks ago and was starting to worry something was wrong. sounds like delays are normal right now

0 coins

Same here. At least we know we're not the only ones dealing with this.

0 coins

Definitely helps to know it's not just me! Hang in there everyone.

For anyone still reading this thread later, remember that you can always check the Washington ESD website for current processing time estimates. They usually post updates during high-volume periods to let people know about expected delays. And if you absolutely need to speak with someone, services like Claimyr can help you get through the phone lines more efficiently than trying on your own.

Where exactly on the ESD website do they post those processing time updates?

0 coins

Usually on the main homepage or in the news/announcements section. They're pretty good about communicating when they're experiencing delays.

Bottom line - 6 months of full-time work should definitely qualify you in most cases. The gap before that job might complicate which quarters count, but you should still meet the basic requirements. When in doubt, apply and let Washington ESD make the determination.

Thanks everyone! This has been super helpful. I feel much more confident about understanding the requirements now.

Good luck! The whole process is intimidating at first but once you understand how it works it makes more sense.

if you do end up needing to call washington esd about your eligibility, definitely try that claimyr thing. i spent 3 days trying to get through before someone told me about it. got connected in like 30 minutes

0 coins

I'll definitely keep that in mind if I need to call them. Sounds way better than sitting on hold for hours.

0 coins

yeah exactly. worth every penny just to actually talk to a human being who can give you real answers

My advice: file early, be patient with the system, and keep applying for jobs while you wait. The whole process takes longer than you'd expect even when everything goes smoothly.

0 coins

Thanks everyone for all the helpful advice! I feel much more prepared now.

One last thing - if your employer contests your claim (which sometimes happens with layoffs), be prepared to provide documentation about your job separation. Keep any layoff notices or emails about the reduction in force.

0 coins

I'll definitely save all the paperwork from my layoff. Better to have it and not need it than the other way around.

0 coins

Exactly. Documentation is your friend when dealing with Washington ESD.

The process seems overwhelming at first but it gets easier. File your claim, file your weekly claims every week, look for work, and keep good records. That's really the basics of how unemployment works in Washington.

0 coins

Thank you everyone! This has been so helpful. I'm going to file my claim today.

0 coins

Good luck! Don't hesitate to ask if you have more questions after you file.

Quick tip: if you do end up needing to call Washington ESD and can't get through, that Claimyr service someone mentioned earlier really does work. I was skeptical at first but it saved me hours of trying to call on my own.

I'll keep that in mind if I run into issues. Hopefully the online system works fine for me.

The online system works most of the time, but when you need to talk to a real person, good luck getting through without help.
