Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. As soon as possible, like within a week if you can. Don't wait thinking you'll find something quickly - you can always stop claiming if you get hired fast.

One more vote for trying Claimyr if you need to talk to Washington ESD directly. I was stuck in adjudication limbo for weeks and they helped me get through to someone who could actually explain what was happening with my claim.

Seasonal workers sometimes have issues too. If you work the same seasonal job every year, Washington ESD might determine you have reasonable assurance of returning to work, which can affect your eligibility during the off-season.
That happened to my friend who works at a ski resort. They couldn't get unemployment in the summer because they had 'reasonable assurance' of returning in winter.
School employees face similar issues with reasonable assurance between school years.
The bottom line is that eligibility rules are complex and sometimes your situation might not fit neatly into the standard categories. When in doubt, it's better to file and let Washington ESD make the determination rather than assuming you don't qualify.

remember that 26 weeks is the MAXIMUM, not guaranteed. your actual duration could be shorter depending on your work history. also if you quit your job (as opposed to being laid off) you might not qualify at all
