If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

the fact that churches can opt out but regular businesses cant is so unfair. my husband's construction company has to pay all these taxes but the megachurch down the street doesn't? makes no sense

0 coins

Exactly! It's a huge loophole that screws over workers.

0 coins

I get the frustration but it's been established law for decades. First Amendment protections and all that.

OP, definitely don't give up. File your claim anyway and let Washington ESD do their research. You might be surprised what they find in their wage database. And if you need to talk to them about it, that Claimyr service people mentioned is legit - my sister used it last month.

0 coins

Thanks for the encouragement. I'm going to file and see what happens. Worst case scenario they just deny it, but at least I'll know for sure.

That's the right attitude. You've got nothing to lose by trying.

For what it's worth, I contacted Washington ESD through Claimyr when I had PIN issues and they were able to help me set up online access properly instead of just resending the PIN. Sometimes talking to an actual person helps you find better solutions.

0 coins

That's smart - getting help with the online system instead of just relying on the phone method.

0 coins

Exactly. The agents can walk you through the online setup which is much more useful long-term.

0 coins

This has been really helpful! I didn't realize so many people had the same PIN confusion. Glad to know the online system works without it.

0 coins

Yeah, it seems like a pretty common issue. At least now we all know there are multiple ways to file claims!

don't forget that unemployment benefits might affect other benefits you're getting like food stamps or housing assistance. the extra income could push you over eligibility limits for some programs

0 coins

oh crap i didn't think about that. do i need to report unemployment to DSHS right away?

0 coins

Yeah you should report any income changes to other benefit programs within 10 days usually. Check the rules for your specific programs.

Final tip: keep detailed records of everything related to your unemployment claim. Benefit amounts, job search activities, any correspondence with ESD. If there are ever issues or audits you'll need that documentation.

Good advice. I keep a folder with everything unemployment related. Has saved me multiple times when ESD asked for proof of something.

thanks everyone for all the helpful info! going to file my claim this weekend and see what happens. wish me luck

My advice is to be patient but persistent. Set reminders to check your account regularly, respond to any requests immediately, and keep detailed records of everything. The waiting is the hardest part but most people do eventually get approved.

0 coins

Good advice about keeping records. I've been screenshotting everything just in case.

One last thing - if you do end up needing to call Washington ESD for any reason, try calling right when they open or during lunch hours. Those seem to be the least busy times, though it's still challenging to get through.

0 coins

Thanks for the timing tip! I'll keep that in mind if I need to call.

0 coins

I've had better luck with the callback feature than sitting on hold, but even that can take days sometimes.

0 coins

Make sure you keep records of all your retraining activities and job search efforts. If Washington ESD ever questions your claim you'll want documentation showing you understood the industry shift and were actively adapting.

0 coins

Good advice. I've been keeping track of applications but should probably also document the training courses and networking I'm doing.

0 coins

Screenshots of online courses, certificates from workshops, emails from networking contacts - all of that can help show you're serious about transitioning.

0 coins

thanks for posting this - I'm dealing with something similar in the hospitality industry. Good to know other people understand that sometimes whole job categories just go away

0 coins

Yeah hospitality got hit really hard. What are you thinking of transitioning to?

0 coins

maybe something in healthcare support or logistics. need to research what training programs are available
