UPDATE: My claim just changed from "processing" to "paid" this morning! So it took about 36 hours total. Thanks everyone for the reassurance. I'll definitely try to stick to Sunday filing from now on to avoid the stress, but good to know that filing later in the week still works.
Congrats on getting it resolved! This thread is super helpful - I had no idea about the flexibility in filing times either. I've been panicking every Sunday thinking I'd lose my benefits if I missed the deadline. It's reassuring to know that while Sunday is optimal, we have the whole week if needed. Thanks to everyone who shared their experiences and explanations!
This happens to me like once every few months. Usually resolves itself within 24-48 hours. The timing with New Year's week probably isn't helping.
I'm experiencing the exact same issue! Filed my weekly claim on Sunday and Washington ESD shows "paid" status, but my bank account is still empty as of Friday morning. This is really concerning since I've never had a delay this long before. Has anyone who posted earlier received their payment yet? I'm wondering if this is a system-wide issue affecting multiple claimants this week.
Update us when your payment arrives! It helps others gauge timing expectations. Different banks seem to process ESD direct deposits at different speeds.
That's awesome news! Thanks for updating us - this is really helpful for others who might be in the same situation. It's good to know that 3 business days seems to be pretty standard for ESD payments to actually hit bank accounts, even when they show as "paid" in the system. I'm sure this will help calm some nerves for future people dealing with the same anxiety about waiting for their first payment or backpay!
UPDATE: My husband restarted his claim yesterday and it went through! He reported all his work history with the construction company. After completing everything, his account shows he has the 8 weeks remaining from his previous claim, and the weekly benefit amount is the same as before. The agent he spoke with (he was able to get through by calling right when they opened) said that once those 8 weeks are used up, the system will automatically review his eligibility for a new claim since his benefit year is ending in December anyway. Thanks everyone for your help!
Great to hear! Just make sure he keeps filing his weekly claims even after the 8 weeks are up, so there's no gap while they process the new claim.
That's awesome news! Glad he was able to get through to someone right away. For anyone else in a similar situation reading this - calling right when ESD opens (8am) is definitely the best strategy. Also, since his benefit year is ending in December anyway, the timing should work out perfectly where he won't have much of a gap between claims. Construction workers deal with this every year, so ESD is pretty familiar with the process. Hope the rest of winter goes smoothly for you both!

Update: My payment finally processed! It showed up as completed this morning and should hit my account tomorrow. Looks like reporting those part-time hours did add an extra day to processing. Thanks everyone for the help and information - definitely helps to know what to expect going forward.

So glad yours went through! Mine's still pending so I'm going to try that Claimyr service tomorrow morning to see if there's an issue with my claim. This new timeline is cutting it way too close to my bill due dates 😫
