If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

If you're really concerned about the delay, you might want to check if there are any issues with your claim or payment method. When my payments were delayed beyond the typical timeframe, it turned out there was an address verification issue that wasn't clearly indicated on my ESD account. If you've been trying to reach ESD for this or any other unemployment issues and can't get through on the phone lines, I've had success using Claimyr (claimyr.com). They have a service that helps you connect with ESD agents much faster than waiting on hold for hours. They have a video showing how it works here: https://youtu.be/7DieNd3C7zQ?si=26TzE_zGms-DODN3 But for your current situation, I'd wait the full 2 business days before worrying. Chase is notoriously slower with government deposits compared to some other banks.

Thanks for the suggestion! I'll give it the full 2 days first, but if I run into any other issues with my claim, that service might come in handy. I tried calling ESD when my claim was stuck in processing and couldn't get through at all, so something that helps with that would be useful if I need it in the future.

any update? did it come through yet?

0 coins

Yes! It finally showed up this morning in my account. Looks like it took exactly 2 business days from when the status changed to 'paid'. Thanks everyone for the help and reassurance!

i used to work at workforce snohomish before i got laid off and now im on UI too lol. anyway sometimes the esd system does maintenance on weekends and things disappear temporarily. have u tried checking after midnight? sometimes the system refreshes and fixes itself overnight

I haven't tried checking after midnight - that's a good idea! I'll set an alarm and try then. Really hoping it's just a temporary glitch.

UPDATE: I finally got through to ESD this morning! Turns out there was a system-wide issue affecting some accounts that started yesterday. The agent was able to reset something on their end, and now the file weekly claim button is back! She said I should file right away since I'm already a day late. Thanks everyone for your help and suggestions!

@profile7 I actually tried the Claimyr service someone mentioned above. Got connected in about 20 minutes instead of waiting for hours. Definitely worth it for this emergency, but hopefully I won't need to call again anytime soon!

I'm confused about something... When you say you filed by phone, are you talking to a real person or using the automated system? I tried calling during business hours last week and couldn't get through to anyone. Is there a special number for filing weekly claims?

0 coins

It's the automated weekly claim line: 800-318-6022. You don't talk to a real person - it's just an automated system with prompts asking about your work search activities, any earnings, etc. Available 24/7 but Sunday midnight is when you can file for the new week. You'll need your SSN and PIN ready. Much faster than waiting on hold for a human!

whoa just logged in and saw there's been a payment delay announcement on the esd website. something about system maintenance affecting direct deposits this week. anyone else see this?

0 coins

Yes, ESD is doing scheduled maintenance on their payment processing system this Thursday from 2am-8am. It shouldn't affect claims filed Sunday/Monday unless there are complications. They recommend filing early this week if possible. This is part of their quarterly system updates that sometimes cause brief delays.

Thanks for the heads up! Glad I filed early then. My payment already came through as mentioned above, so I think I beat the maintenance window. Definitely another reason to file as early as possible in the week!

maybe unpopular opinion but i think people need tougher skin?? not defending trolls but if ur gonna be on internet forums u gotta expect some jerks. just ignore them & focus on helpful comments

That's easy to say when you're not the one being kicked while down. When you're stressed about making rent and feeding your family while your ESD claim is stuck in adjudication for weeks, those comments hit differently. This is supposed to be a SUPPORT forum.

There's actually a specific situation called a "shared claim" that might apply here, though it's not common. If you are receiving partial L&I benefits and are able to work part-time or with specific restrictions, you might qualify for partial unemployment benefits to supplement your income. However, this requires very specific documentation from both your healthcare provider and employer confirming that: 1) You can work with specific restrictions 2) Your employer cannot accommodate those restrictions 3) You are actively seeking work that meets your restrictions When you apply, make sure to accurately report your L&I benefits as this will affect your UI benefit calculation. I recommend having detailed documentation of your driving restriction from your doctor and confirmation from your employer that they cannot provide suitable work within that restriction before applying.

Thank you so much for this detailed information! I didn't know about the "shared claim" option. I'll gather all that documentation and try applying. Really appreciate the specific steps to follow.

Just checking back - were you able to get through to ESD or L&I? Any updates on your situation?

I finally got through to L&I yesterday and had a long talk with my case manager. They're going to reassess my benefits since my employer confirmed they don't have any positions within my 15-minute driving restriction. Also talked to my doctor who's going to try me on a different medication that might have fewer side effects. Thanks everyone for the advice - it really helped me figure out what questions to ask!
