If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

anyone else notice how ESD seems to "lose" documents we upload?? I had to upload my ID verification THREE TIMES before they acknowledged receiving it. The whole system is either incompetent or deliberately designed to make us give up. And don't get me started on their "customer service" line that NEVER answers!!!

I think their system gets overwhelmed sometimes. I learned to always take screenshots showing the confirmation after uploading anything. Came in handy when they claimed they never received documents I had proof of uploading.

Quick update: The governor's office contact method has been increasingly effective in 2025 because ESD implemented a new escalation process for those cases. Based on recent reports, claims flagged by the governor's office are now typically reviewed within 3-5 business days. Just make sure when you talk to them that you clearly communicate the financial hardship you're experiencing - they prioritize cases with imminent eviction risks or severe financial distress. Also, keep filing those weekly claims while waiting for the initial approval! Many people don't realize they need to do this.

Thank you for this update - it's giving me some hope. I did tell them about my situation with the housing and food insecurity. Fingers crossed they prioritize my case. And yes, I've been filing every week even without approval!

I was in the exact same situation in January. Filed after being laid off, employer contested it saying I quit (which was completely false), and I went into adjudication hell. I called ESD over 70 times in a 3-week period. What finally worked for me was contacting my state representative's office. They have liaisons who work directly with ESD. Within 4 days of contacting my rep, an adjudicator called me, got my side of the story, and approved my benefits the next day with full backpay. Google "[your county] state representative" and reach out to their constituent services. It made all the difference for me!

This is brilliant advice - I hadn't even thought of contacting my state rep! I'm going to try this tomorrow. Did you just call their office or send an email?

I called first and they directed me to an online form specifically for constituent services. I had to provide my claim ID number, contact info, and a brief description of the issue. They asked for permission to act on my behalf with ESD. Be sure to mention the financial hardship the delay is causing - that seems to help prioritize the case.

One important reminder: when your claim is in adjudication, it's critical to continue meeting all job search requirements (3 job search activities per week). Document everything thoroughly in your weekly claims. I've seen cases where people focus so much on the adjudication issue that they neglect job search requirements, and then face even more delays or denials. Also, if you receive any messages or calls from ESD or an adjudicator, respond immediately - even a short delay in your response can push your claim back in the queue.

Thanks for the reminder. I've been doing my 3 job search activities every week and logging them carefully. I'm actually interviewing for a position tomorrow, so hopefully this adjudication nightmare will be a moot point soon if I get the job!

I'm having the same issue but mine says "processing-web-monetary" instead of just "processing-web" - are those different statuses? I tried googling but couldn't find an explanation of the difference. This is my first unemployment claim so I'm still figuring everything out. Has anyone seen the "monetary" status before?

0 coins

" Processing-web means your weekly claim is being processed after being submitted "online." Processing-web-monetary usually means'they re verifying some aspect of your monetary eligibility.'They re similar stages but the monetary tag suggests'they re double-checking your benefit amount or wages. Both are normal processingstatuses.

Just checked my account - my payment finally posted about 20 minutes ago. It was 2 days late but the full amount is there. Might want to check your accounts now to see if yours came through too!

Just checked and YES! Mine just came through too! Such a relief. Thanks everyone for the help and commiseration. Next time I'll try not to panic so quickly.

Still nothing in my account. Called my bank and they don't see anything pending either. Typical that I'm the one who gets left out. Guess I'll be on the phone all day tomorrow.

This is a good reminder for everyone that it's wise to maintain a small emergency fund even while on unemployment if at all possible. ESD's system does occasionally experience delays, and banking transfers can sometimes take longer than expected due to various factors. For anyone still experiencing issues, here are the steps I recommend: 1. Check your ESD account to confirm the payment status shows as "processed" 2. Verify your banking information is correct in the system 3. Call your bank to check if they see any pending deposits 4. If it's been more than 3 business days since the "processed" status appeared, contact ESD directly Also, remember that if you're struggling with bills due to a payment delay, many utility companies and landlords will work with you if you communicate with them proactively about the situation.

Thank you - this is really helpful advice. I'm definitely going to start putting a little aside each week once this payment comes through. I don't want to go through this stress again!

0 coins

Important note: If this is your first payment after filing a new claim, it often takes slightly longer than subsequent payments. The first payment can take up to 3-4 business days while the banking information is verified in their system. After that initial payment, future weeks typically process faster (usually 1-2 business days). Also, make sure you continue filing your weekly claims even while waiting for the money to appear in your account. Many claimants make the mistake of thinking they don't need to file weekly once they're approved, but you must file each week you want benefits, even if payments from previous weeks haven't arrived yet.

0 coins

That's really good to know! Yes, this is my first payment since approval. And thanks for the reminder about continuing weekly claims - I actually wasn't sure if I needed to keep filing while waiting for the first payment to arrive.

It just came through this morning! So it took exactly 2 business days after the paid date. Hope yours arrives soon too!
