Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. when i had this problem i just kept uploading my documents every few days and eventually it cleared. i think sometimes they just miss seeing them the first time because of how many they're processing
THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT HAPPENED TO ME TOO!!! Their system randomly "loses" documents and they NEVER tell you!!! So frustrating!!!

Yes, finally! I used the Claimyr service that someone recommended above to get through to ESD yesterday. The agent I spoke with said my documents were fine, but there was a system flag because I recently moved. She cleared it manually while I was on the phone, and this morning my account shows as verified! Payments are being processed now. Such a relief!

Update: I finally got through to ESD this morning! The representative explained that my claim was flagged because my previous employer filed some quarterly tax documents late, which made it look like I was working during weeks I claimed benefits (I wasn't). She said this is happening to a lot of people right now. I've uploaded my final paystub showing my last day of work, my termination letter, and my ID documents. They said it could take 3-4 weeks to review everything but she put a note in my file that I've responded to the letter. Such a relief to know what's actually going on! Thank you everyone for your help and suggestions. This community is amazing!
Great news! Make sure to keep checking your eServices account weekly for any updates or additional document requests. Sometimes they need more information but don't always send a letter or email notification. Glad you were able to get through and get some answers!
I got through too, finally!! In my case they said my employer reported different quarterly wages than what I had reported on my weekly claims. I explained that I had reported everything correctly based on when I was actually paid, not when the employer processed their quarterly reports. The agent said that's a common issue and told me exactly what to send in. They also put a hold on any collection activity while my case is being reviewed. Feeling so much better now!
That's great! What a relief, right? The waiting is still stressful, but at least we know what's going on now. Please update here when you get your final determination - I'll do the same!

This is good advice. I've heard that state representatives can sometimes be even more effective than the governor's office, especially if they have staff who specialize in unemployment issues. Definitely worth trying both approaches.
I had success with the governor's office after my claim was stuck for 9 weeks. The number is 360-902-4111. They took my information and within a week, ESD called me to resolve my issue. Just be prepared with your claim ID and a clear explanation of the problem. They can't work miracles, but they definitely can get someone at ESD to actually look at your claim instead of letting it sit in the system forever.

They asked for my full name, address, phone number, and a brief description of the issue. I also mentioned I was facing possible eviction (which was true), and I think that helped emphasize the urgency. Just be honest about your situation.

I can't believe ESD is STILL doing this in 2025! This exact same thing happened to thousands of people back in 2022-2023 after the pandemic benefits ended. You'd think they would have fixed their system by now. But no, still sending out incorrect tax forms and causing massive headaches for people. This is why nobody trusts government agencies to do anything right. 🤦♀️
its not just WA either! my cousin in oregon had the same issue with their unemployment dept. seems like ALL these systems r built on ancient technology that nobody knows how to fix

I tried calling every day this week but couldn't get through - always get the "high call volume" message and then it hangs up. I did submit a message through eServices yesterday, but no response yet. Starting to get worried about tax filing deadlines...
That's exactly why I ended up using Claimyr - the regular phone lines are impossible this time of year. If you're running up against tax deadlines, it might be worth trying. Whatever you do, don't just file with the incorrect 1099-G information - that will cause bigger headaches later.

•No, the processing delay only affects payment timing, not your standby status. Your standby end date is set separately in the system and won't be affected by payment processing times.

UPDATE: Mine finally changed to 'paid' status this morning! So it took about 48 hours instead of the usual 24. Just wanted to let everyone know in case you're still waiting on yours.
