If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

Just checking back - did the weekly claim option appear for you yet? If not, I'd recommend trying both the phone approach and visiting a WorkSource center as others have suggested. Sometimes the in-person help can resolve these issues more quickly.

Update: The weekly claim button finally appeared this morning! Looks like it was just a system delay. I was able to file for last week without any issues. Thanks everyone for your help and suggestions!

I once waiting 3 hole months for my hearing descision! Called and called but nobody would tell me anything. But thats because they lost my paperwork and didnt tell me! So dont be afraid to call and check if its been more then 2 weeks.

0 coins

That's extremely unusual. The law requires a decision within 30 days. If anyone experiences a delay longer than that, you should contact your state representative or the unemployment ombuds office immediately. 3 months would be a serious violation of your appeal rights.

Just to follow up on my earlier comment - I wanted to add that while waiting for your decision, make sure you continue filing your weekly claims! This is absolutely critical. If you win your appeal but haven't been filing weekly claims, you won't receive benefits for those weeks even with a favorable decision.

Oh that's a great reminder - thank you! I've been filing every week even during the appeal process. The ESD website says to keep filing but it still shows me as disqualified each week, which is confusing. I guess those will get sorted out if I win?

0 coins

Yes, exactly. The system will continue showing you as disqualified until the appeal decision is processed. If you win, all those weeks you've claimed while disqualified will be reviewed and paid (assuming you met all other eligibility requirements like job search activities, etc). It's a weird system but it's designed to make sure you don't miss out on any potential benefits.

I'm on week 8 of waiting for BOTH of my pending issues to be resolved so consider yourself lucky that one went away already!!! This whole system is designed to make people give up. I've called 47 times in the past month. FORTY SEVEN TIMES. And not once has a human picked up. It's absolute garbage.

I know its frustrating but they do eventually get to everyone. Took almost 10 weeks for my claim last year and I got all the money backpaid. Just keep doing your weekly claims!

10 WEEKS?!?! That's insane! How are people supposed to pay bills while waiting that long?

UPDATE: The second pending issue just disappeared this morning! Looks like they were processed about 3 days apart. No payments showing yet but hopefully they'll come through soon. Thanks everyone for the advice and sharing your experiences!

Great news! The payments typically process within 48 hours after issues are cleared. Make sure your payment method is set up correctly in your account. Glad to hear both issues were resolved relatively close together.

did u check your spam folder? my friend got his waiver response there not in regular email lol ESD is weird

Just checked spam and nothing there. I've been checking my regular mail too since they usually send important stuff that way. Nothing yet.

One important thing to note - if you've been making regular weekly claims during this period, double-check that those aren't being applied to your overpayment balance automatically. Sometimes ESD will apply current benefits to past overpayments unless you specifically request they don't during the waiver process. This can happen even when collections are supposedly paused.

I haven't been claiming benefits recently since I found work in February, but that's good to know if I need to file again in the future. Thanks for the heads up!

Just to provide an update for everyone - I just checked ESD's Twitter account and they've officially acknowledged the system outage. Their post says: "We are currently experiencing technical difficulties with our claims filing systems. Our IT team is working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible. Claimants who are unable to file today due to this issue will not be penalized. We anticipate systems will be restored by 8AM tomorrow. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Thank you so much for sharing this! I don't use Twitter so I wouldn't have seen it. That's a huge relief knowing they're aware and working on it.

Just a quick heads-up - the system appears to be working again. I just successfully filed my weekly claim about 10 minutes ago through eServices. Might want to try again now!
