If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

One last piece of advice - if you do apply and get approved, make sure you understand the weekly claim requirements. You'll need to file every week and report any work or earnings. Missing a week can cause delays in your benefits.

You can file your weekly claim starting Sunday for the previous week, and you have until the following Saturday to file it. Most people file on Sunday to stay on schedule.

0 coins

And don't forget about the job search requirements. You'll need to keep a log of your job search activities.

This has been a really helpful thread. I was in a similar situation and wasn't sure about applying. Now I feel confident enough to give it a try. Thanks everyone!

Same here! This community is so helpful. Good luck with your application!

Love seeing people help each other out with this confusing system. We're all in this together.

This thread should be pinned somewhere - this question comes up constantly!

0 coins

Agreed! Hopefully it helps other people who are confused about this.

Bottom line: You paid into unemployment insurance through your paychecks. It's your money being returned to you during unemployment, not government assistance.

0 coins

That's the clearest way to think about it - it's insurance I paid for, not a handout.

0 coins

Make sure you keep records of everything - your layoff notice, pay stubs, job search activities. Washington ESD can audit claims and you'll need documentation if they ask for it.

0 coins

Good point, I'll start organizing all my paperwork now before I file.

0 coins

Smart move. Being organized from the start can save you headaches later if any issues come up with your claim.

0 coins

The whole process is honestly pretty straightforward once you get started. The hardest part is just getting through to someone at Washington ESD if you have questions.

0 coins

Yeah, that seems to be the common complaint I'm hearing - difficulty reaching them by phone.

0 coins

That's exactly why services like Claimyr exist. When you can't get through to Washington ESD yourself, having something that handles the calling for you is invaluable.

One more thing - if you're on standby status, does that affect how the base period is calculated? I'm temporarily laid off but expecting to be called back.

0 coins

No, standby status doesn't change the base period calculation. That's just about your work search requirements and callback expectations. The base period is still calculated the same way.

0 coins

Thanks for clarifying that. I wasn't sure if standby was treated differently.

0 coins

I wish I had known about the base period thing before I filed. I would have waited a few more weeks to file so I could include higher wages from a more recent quarter.

0 coins

Unfortunately, delaying your claim filing date doesn't change which quarters are used for the base period. It's based on completed quarters, not when you file.

0 coins

Ah, that makes sense. So timing doesn't really matter then.

0 coins

If you're really worried about job security, you might want to start documenting everything at work now, just in case. It can help if you need to prove you were terminated without fault.

0 coins

That's smart advice. I'll start keeping better records of my work performance and any issues that come up.

0 coins

Bottom line - don't stress too much about it right now. Focus on doing well at your current job, but know that if things don't work out, you may have options depending on your work history.
