Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. One more thing - if you do get approved for both, make sure you report the disability income on your weekly unemployment claims. Failure to report other income is considered fraud even if it's an oversight.

The bottom line is that accurate unemployment data serves many purposes beyond individual benefits, but the verification process shouldn't take months. There has to be a better balance between accuracy and timeliness.
Exactly. I understand why accuracy matters but the current system is broken for individuals.
Hopefully Washington ESD's modernization efforts will improve the process. They're working on new systems but implementation takes time.

Also remember that your benefit amount can change if Washington ESD gets updated wage information from employers. Sometimes they issue a redetermination letter if new earnings data comes in after your initial calculation.

Yeah this happened to me and my benefits actually went up when they got my final quarter wages from my employer.
If you're still confused about your calculation after reading all these explanations, definitely try to get someone from Washington ESD on the phone. I used that Claimyr service someone mentioned earlier and it was worth it just to get a clear explanation directly from an agent.

If you're having trouble getting through to Washington ESD by phone, there's a service called Claimyr that I used when my claim got stuck in adjudication. They got me connected to an agent who could actually help resolve the issue. Check out claimyr.com if you need to reach someone at Washington ESD.
