If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

Important reminder: if you had taxes withheld from your unemployment benefits during the year, that will show up in Box 4 of your 1099-G. Make sure to claim that as taxes paid when you file.

I totally forgot about that! Good catch.

The Washington ESD website also has a FAQ section about 1099-G forms that explains where to find them and what to do if you can't access yours.

0 coins

Link to that FAQ would be helpful if anyone has it.

The online portal is helpful when it works but the user interface is pretty outdated. You'd think Washington ESD would modernize their website design at some point.

the SecureAccess Washington site looks like it was designed in 2005

Function over form I guess, but yeah it could definitely use a visual update. At least the important information is there once you figure out how to navigate it.

Overall I think the system has more safeguards now but is also more bureaucratic. Better fraud prevention but harder for legitimate claimants to get help when they need it. Technology has solved some problems but created others.

0 coins

Which is why services like Claimyr exist now - to bridge the gap when you can't reach Washington ESD through normal channels. Sometimes you just need to talk to a real person about your specific situation.

0 coins

Makes sense. The system has gotten so complex that navigating it on your own can be really challenging, especially if you run into problems.

0 coins

Best of luck with whatever you decide! These situations are never easy but it sounds like you're being smart about researching your options first.

0 coins

Thank you! I feel much more informed now about what to expect.

Just a reminder to everyone in similar situations - always be completely honest on your unemployment application and weekly claims. Trying to hide workers comp payments or misrepresenting your work restrictions will only cause bigger problems down the road.

0 coins

This cannot be emphasized enough. The systems do talk to each other and they will find out eventually.

0 coins

Absolutely. I want to make sure I do everything by the books. Thanks again everyone for all the advice!

This thread is depressing but helpful. At least I know I'm not the only one dealing with this nightmare. Washington ESD really needs to get their act together.

0 coins

Definitely helpful to know it's not just me, but frustrating that so many people are going through this.

0 coins

The fact that services like Claimyr even need to exist shows how broken the system is.

Update us when you figure out what's going on! I'm in a similar situation and want to know what worked for you.

Seriously consider Claimyr if the other suggestions don't work - getting an actual person on the phone changes everything.

Following this thread too - need all the help I can get with my own claim issues.

FYI the Washington ESD website has all this information but it's buried in different sections. The maximum benefit amount is posted in their benefits table but you have to dig around to find it. Would be nice if they made it more prominent since it's such a common question.

0 coins

Yeah I looked on their website first but couldn't easily find the current maximum amount. That's why I asked here.

0 coins

Their website navigation is terrible. Basic information should be easier to find.

0 coins

One last thing - if you think your benefit calculation is wrong, you can appeal it. I had to do this when they miscalculated my wages from one employer. Took a few weeks but they corrected it and I got back pay for the difference.

0 coins

Good to know there's an appeal process if needed. Hopefully I won't need it but nice to have that option.

0 coins

The appeal process works but you need to act quickly - there are time limits on when you can file an appeal.
