Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. For future reference, if anyone needs to actually speak with a Washington ESD representative about PFML or any other benefits, that Claimyr service mentioned earlier really does work. I was skeptical at first but when you're stuck and need answers, it's worth having options.

I used Claimyr when I needed to talk to Washington ESD about a claim issue from the employer side. Way better than trying to get through their regular phone system. The agents they connect you to are the same ones you'd reach calling directly, just without the 3-hour wait times.

The whole Washington ESD system could use better explanations honestly. I spent way too much time confused about various acronyms and status messages when I first filed. At least now I know EUC is just an inactive federal program and nothing to worry about.

Just wanted to add that if Congress ever does reauthorize emergency unemployment programs in the future, Washington ESD would update these statuses accordingly. But for now, ignore the EUC message and focus on your regular UI claim. As long as you're filing weekly and meeting work search requirements, you should be good to go.
