This whole thread makes me feel better knowing I'm not the only one struggling with this. It's so stressful when you need help and can't reach anyone.
Final thought - document everything! Keep track of when you called, how long you waited, if you got disconnected, etc. If you ever need to escalate or file a complaint, having that record helps.
Make sure your direct deposit info is correct in the system. I had an old account number in there and it took 3 weeks to figure out why my payments were bouncing back.
The whole system is honestly pretty straightforward once you understand it. File weekly claim → wait 1-2 days → money hits your account. The problems usually come from missed weekly claims or verification issues.
Here's something that might help - if your claim is taking longer than expected, make sure you didn't miss any follow-up items in your online account. Sometimes they'll request additional documentation and if you miss it, your claim just sits there.

Just remembered - if you do end up needing to talk to Washington ESD about anything specific to your claim, definitely check out that Claimyr service I mentioned earlier. Saved me so much frustration compared to the regular phone system. The video demo really shows how much easier it makes the whole process of reaching an actual person.

•I bookmarked it just in case. Hopefully I won't need it but good to know it's there if I run into problems.

•Wish I'd known about that when I was dealing with my overpayment issue. Spent literally days trying to get through to explain my situation.

Hope everything works out for you! Being laid off sucks but at least Washington state has decent unemployment benefits compared to some places. You'll get through this.
