If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

Make sure you understand your benefit calculation before you start certifying for weekly benefits. If there are errors it's easier to fix them early rather than dealing with overpayment issues later.

Good point. I'll definitely make sure I understand everything before I start filing my weekly claims.

Yeah overpayment notices are a nightmare to deal with. Better to get it right from the start.

Thanks everyone for all the info! This thread has been super helpful in understanding how Washington ESD calculates benefits. I feel much less confused now about my monetary determination.

Glad we could help! The UI system is complicated but once you understand the basics it makes more sense.

Good luck with your claim! Hope you find new work soon.

Remember that Washington ESD has specific hours when you can file online. I think it's 6 AM to 10 PM most days. Don't try to file in the middle of the night and get frustrated when it doesn't work.

0 coins

Oh wow I didn't know there were specific hours. Good to know.

0 coins

Yeah that would have been frustrating to find out the hard way!

Last thing - if you're filing near a holiday weekend, expect delays in processing. Washington ESD doesn't process claims on state holidays so plan accordingly.

0 coins

Good point about holidays. I didn't think of that.

0 coins

Yeah I filed right before Labor Day weekend one year and it took forever to get processed.

For what it's worth, I qualified for close to the maximum ($920/week) and the process was pretty smooth once I got my initial claim approved. The hardest part was just getting through to someone when I had questions.

0 coins

That gives me hope! Sounds like if your wages qualify you for the higher amounts, the system works pretty well.

0 coins

Yeah, just be patient with the phone system or use one of those callback services if you need to talk to someone.

0 coins

Bottom line: $999/week maximum, 26 weeks duration, based on your highest earning quarters. Most people won't get the max but it's there if your wages qualify. And yes, it's taxable income so plan accordingly!

Perfect summary! Thanks everyone for all the helpful info. Really appreciate this community.

The fact that you're asking these questions and being careful about understanding the requirements shows you're taking it seriously. That's exactly the right approach. Washington ESD appreciates claimants who follow the rules and do things properly.

Thank you! I really appreciate everyone's help. This has given me a much better understanding of what I need to do.

Good luck with your claim! Feel free to ask if you have more questions after you file.

One last thing - if you end up needing to call Washington ESD for any reason and can't get through, that Claimyr service someone mentioned earlier is legit. I used it when my claim got stuck and needed to speak to an adjudicator. Worth checking out claimyr.com if you hit any roadblocks.

I'll definitely keep that in mind. Hopefully I won't need it but good to know the option exists.

Don't forget about the waiting week! Your first week of benefits is unpaid - it's like a deductible. So even if you file right away, you won't get paid for that first week.

0 coins

Oh that's annoying! So I'd have to wait two weeks before getting my first payment?

0 coins

Exactly. The waiting week plus processing time means it's usually 2-3 weeks before you see your first payment.

0 coins

The whole process is pretty straightforward once you get started. Just be prepared for some waiting and make sure you do your weekly claims every week. Missing even one week can cause problems with your benefits.

0 coins

Good advice! I'll make sure to stay on top of the weekly filings once I get everything set up.
