Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

Totally legitimate. They just dial repeatedly until they get through, then connect you to talk directly to the ESD agent. Saved me so much time and frustration.
Bottom line - she has nothing to lose by applying. Worst case scenario is she gets denied and is in the same position she's in now. Best case is she gets approved and has income while job hunting.

My advice is to file online if possible rather than trying to call. The website works better than their phone system most of the time. Only call if you have a specific issue that needs an agent.
The website can be slow sometimes but yeah it's usually more reliable than calling.
True, but when you do need to talk to someone, that's when services like Claimyr become really valuable. Beats sitting on hold for hours.

Final update from me - got my monetary determination letter today and everything looks correct. Washington ESD correctly identified my severance period and my benefits will start the week after it ends. Really glad I filed right away instead of waiting.
