Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

One last thing - if they can't resolve your issue at the appointment, ask to speak to a supervisor. Sometimes the front-line staff can't make certain decisions but a supervisor can override things or escalate your case.
I really hope it doesn't come to that but I'll keep it in mind if I'm not getting anywhere.
Don't be afraid to ask for a supervisor if you need to. You have the right to escalate if you're not getting the help you need.
Thanks everyone for all the advice! I feel much more prepared now. I'll bring copies of everything, show up early, and try to stay patient. Hopefully this gets resolved quickly. I'll update this thread after my appointment in case it helps others.

Is there a way to see exactly when your payment will hit before it actually does?
Your payment history in the Washington ESD account shows when payments are issued, but your bank might take additional time to post it.
I'll check that section. Never really looked at the payment history before.

One thing to remember is that even if you qualify based on wages, you still need to meet the ongoing requirements like job searching and filing weekly claims. The work history is just the first hurdle.
Right, I've heard about the job search requirements. Do you have to apply to a certain number of jobs each week?
In Washington, you need to make at least 3 job search activities per week and keep a log. There are specific requirements about what counts as a valid job search activity.
Just to close this out - sounds like you're probably fine with 8 months of work as long as you made decent wages. The key thing is that $1,685 minimum across your base period quarters.

Quick tip - if you do gig work like DoorDash or Uber while on unemployment, you still need to report that income. Don't think they won't find out because they will.

You can definitely do that, just be honest about the income. They'll adjust your weekly benefit accordingly but you won't lose eligibility.
