If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

honestly the whole system is confusing and washington esd doesnt make it easy to understand. took me weeks to figure out my benefit amount and i still not 100% sure i understand how they calculated it

This is super common - the benefit calculation is one of the most confusing parts of the unemployment system. When I had questions about my calculation, I used Claimyr to get through to a Washington ESD specialist who could walk me through it step by step. Much better than trying to figure it out on your own.

might have to look into that, been struggling with this for too long

Just remember that your benefit amount is recalculated if you file a new claim after your benefit year expires. So if you use up all 26 weeks and then become unemployed again later, they'll look at your recent work history to determine your new benefit amount.

Thanks everyone for all the detailed info! This gives me a much better understanding of what to expect when I file my claim.

Good luck with your claim! Don't hesitate to ask questions if you run into any issues during the filing process.

Also make sure your LinkedIn profile addresses the gap if you're using it for job searching. You can add a section about professional development activities or volunteer work during your unemployment period. Keep it brief but shows you weren't just sitting around.

I haven't updated my LinkedIn in months! I should definitely add some of the courses I took.

LinkedIn is crucial for job searching now. Make sure your profile tells a complete story including how you used your time off.

One last tip - if the gap comes up in an interview, don't dwell on it. Give your prepared explanation quickly and then redirect to why you're perfect for this specific role. The more comfortable you are with the topic, the less it will matter to the interviewer.

0 coins

That's excellent advice. I'll practice transitioning from explaining the gap to selling my qualifications.

0 coins

Exactly! The gap is just one small part of your overall professional story. Don't let it overshadow everything else you bring to the table.

Hope your claim goes through smoothly! Mine took forever but eventually got approved. Just be patient and keep filing those weekly claims.

Thanks! Fingers crossed it goes smoothly.

Welcome to the unemployment club nobody wants to join! But seriously, the system works even though it's frustrating. You'll get through this.

0 coins

Haha thanks for the encouragement. Here's hoping I don't need to be in this club for too long!

One last tip - set up notifications in your account so you get reminders about when to file your weekly claims. Missing even one week can cause delays in your payments.

0 coins

Great idea! I'm definitely going to need those reminders.

0 coins

Yeah, I almost forgot one week and would have been in big trouble. The notifications saved me.

Good luck with everything! The first few weeks are always the most stressful but it gets easier. Don't hesitate to ask questions if you get stuck.

Thank you so much! This thread has been incredibly helpful. I'm going to start my application right now.

That's the spirit! You'll be glad you got it started sooner rather than later.

Also remember that if your claim gets complicated or you need to talk to someone at Washington ESD about specific issues, services like Claimyr can save you hours of frustration trying to get through on the phone. I wish I had known about it sooner!

0 coins

I'll keep that in mind if I run into any problems. Hopefully everything goes smoothly!

The main thing is don't panic if something seems confusing. The Washington ESD staff can help explain things if you can reach them, and there are lots of resources online. You've got this!

Thank you so much everyone! This thread has been more helpful than any official guide I found.
