Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Don't forget about the waiting week! Even after you apply and get approved, there's one week where you file a claim but don't get paid. It's just how the system works - kind of like a deductible.
So I have to wait two weeks before getting my first payment? One week processing plus the waiting week?
Usually takes about 2-3 weeks total to get your first payment, yeah. The waiting week is built into the system and then there's processing time on top of that.
Make sure all your employer information is accurate when you apply. I put down the wrong address for one of my previous employers and it delayed my whole claim while they tried to verify my wages.

Yeah, have your W-2s or pay stubs handy when you apply. Makes it much easier to get everything right the first time.

Just wanted to add that if you're calling about standby benefits specifically, make sure you mention that right away because they might transfer you to a different department.
Good point. Same thing if you're calling about PUA or any other special program - be specific about your claim type upfront.
Thanks everyone for all the advice! I'm going to try calling the main number early tomorrow morning, and if that doesn't work I'll look into that Claimyr thing. Hopefully I can get this sorted out soon.

The Washington ESD mobile app is pretty decent too if you prefer using your phone. Makes it easier to file your weekly claims when you're on the go.
I didn't know they had an app. Is it available for both iPhone and Android?
Yes, it's in both app stores. Just search for Washington ESD.
Last tip - set up direct deposit right away when you file your claim. Paper checks take forever and can get lost in the mail. Electronic payments are much more reliable.
Definitely will do that. I need the money to come as quickly as possible.
Direct deposit usually takes 1-2 business days once your payment is processed. Much better than waiting for a check.

The maximum of $999 is definitely correct for 2025. I just checked the official Washington ESD benefit chart and that's what it shows. Good luck with your claim!
