Quick question - did you get any kind of severance or final paycheck weirdness when you quit? Sometimes employers try to mess with your final pay when you quit for harassment reasons.
Final reminder - make sure you have all your personal documents organized before filing. You'll need your Social Security number, previous employer information, and details about your last day of work. Having everything ready will make the application process smoother.
Just remember that Washington ESD looks at your ability to work, not your pregnancy status specifically. As long as your doctor hasn't restricted your work activities, you should be fine.
one more thing - make sure you understand the difference between being 'able to work' and 'available for work'. pregnancy might not affect the first but could impact the second depending on your situation
Hope your back pay comes through soon! This thread was really helpful for understanding what to expect.
FINAL UPDATE: Back pay came through this morning! Total of 6 weeks worth showed up as 3 separate transactions. Apparently they batch it by some internal processing schedule. Thanks everyone for the help and advice throughout this process!
The whole monetary determination process is so confusing. I wish Washington ESD would just send a simple explanation of how they calculated your amount instead of all this technical jargon.
Just remember you also have to pay federal taxes on unemployment benefits. State taxes too if your state has income tax. Plan ahead for tax season!

Just want to echo what others have said about Claimyr. I was skeptical at first but it really does work. Saved me so much time and frustration trying to reach Washington ESD when I had questions about my claim timing.

•It's worth checking their website for current info. For me, the time saved was definitely worth it, especially when I needed to resolve an issue quickly.

Bottom line for timing: File during your first week of unemployment, be honest about why you're unemployed, report all income, and complete your weekly claims on time. If you follow those basic rules, you should be fine.
