One more thing to watch out for - make sure your direct deposit info is still current. I had to update mine because I switched banks during my waiting period and almost had my payment sent to a closed account.
Congrats again OP! Hope you get that payment soon and can finally relax a bit. This whole process is way more stressful than it should be.
And remember, if anyone else is still stuck waiting for adjudication and needs to reach Washington ESD, Claimyr really does work for getting through to agents. Sometimes that personal contact makes all the difference in getting things moving.
Just want to mention again that if anyone needs help reaching Washington ESD agents, Claimyr really works. I've used it twice now and both times got through quickly.
Bottom line - most traditional lenders won't approve a mortgage based on unemployment benefits alone. You'd need either a co-signer, significant assets, or alternative financing. Probably best to wait until you have stable employment again.
File as soon as you become unemployed. You can't get benefits for weeks before you actually file the claim, even if you were unemployed during those weeks.
Bottom line - plan for 25 weeks of benefits max, keep doing your job searches, and start looking for work right away. The job market is decent right now but it can take months to find something good.
One last thing - keep all your documentation! If there's ever a question about your eligibility or they audit your claim, you'll need proof of your job searches and any work you did while collecting benefits.

Just to summarize for anyone who skimmed through: $999 max weekly benefit for 2025, based on highest quarter earnings divided by 26, need to earn at least $25,974 in highest quarter to get the max. Plus possible $25 dependency allowance on top.

One last tip - when you file your claim, double-check that Washington ESD has all your employer information correct. Sometimes they miss employers or have wrong wage information, which can affect your benefit calculation.

•Great point! I'll make sure to review everything carefully when I file.

•Yes, if you notice any missing employers or incorrect wages, contact Washington ESD immediately to get it corrected. It can significantly impact your benefit amount.
