Update us when you hear back OP! I'm dealing with Washington ESD adjudication issues too and want to see how yours turns out.
Quick update for anyone still reading - I just helped my friend use claimyr.com last week for a similar disqualification issue and they got it resolved in 2 days after talking to an actual Washington ESD representative. Sometimes you really do need to speak with someone directly to get these things sorted out fast.
One more thing - check your payment method settings. If you're approved but haven't set up direct deposit or a debit card, that could delay things even if your claim is active.
The waiting is the worst part honestly. I remember checking my account like 10 times a day when I first applied. But once you see that weekly benefit amount and can file claims, you know you're good to go.
Washington ESD adjudication is so backed up right now. Even with a clear case like yours it's going to take weeks to resolve. Just be patient and make sure you keep filing your weekly claims even while the appeal is pending.
Good luck with your appeal! Defense contract layoffs are legitimate reasons for unemployment and with the right wage calculation you should qualify. The system is frustrating but it does work eventually.
One thing that helped me was keeping a log of when I filed, what status changes I saw, and any communications from Washington ESD. Made it easier to track progress and have specific questions ready when I finally got through to someone.
For what it's worth, I used Claimyr when I was in a similar situation and the agent was able to tell me exactly what stage my claim was in and what to expect next. Worth the peace of mind when you're dealing with this kind of uncertainty.

One more thing - if you've been working reduced hours instead of being completely laid off, you might still qualify for partial unemployment benefits. A lot of people don't know this option exists.

•Really? I'm working 20 hours a week now instead of 40. I thought I couldn't get unemployment if I was still working.

•Nope! If your hours or wages were reduced through no fault of your own, you can still qualify for partial benefits. Definitely worth applying.

The whole process is stressful but hang in there. Most people get approved eventually if they're eligible. Just make sure you keep filing your weekly claims and meeting the job search requirements while you wait.

•Thanks everyone for all the help! I feel much more confident about applying now. Going to gather all my documents and file this weekend.
