If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

One more thing to consider - if you have a disqualified week, it might affect your total weeks of eligibility. Make sure you understand how it impacts your overall benefit year.

I hadn't thought about that. I'll ask about it when I call Washington ESD tomorrow.

0 coins

Yeah, disqualified weeks can sometimes count against your total weeks even though you don't get paid for them. Important to clarify.

Thanks everyone for all the helpful info! I feel much better about dealing with this now. Will definitely call Washington ESD tomorrow to get the specifics on my disqualified week.

You're welcome! Hope you get it resolved quickly.

For anyone still confused about this, I found a benefit calculator on some third-party website that was pretty accurate. Just plugged in my wages and it estimated my weekly amount within a few dollars of what Washington ESD calculated.

Can you share the link to that calculator?

I don't remember the exact site but if you search for 'Washington unemployment calculator' you should find several options.

Bottom line - if you're eligible, file as soon as possible. The benefit amount is what it is based on your wages, but at least it's something to help pay the bills while you're looking for work.

Agreed, thanks everyone for all the helpful information. I feel much more confident about filing now.

Good luck with your claim! The system has its frustrations but the benefits do help when you need them.

Just to summarize for anyone else who finds this thread: you need to work in at least 2 quarters, earn at least $3,850 total, and at least $1,270 in your highest quarter. Check your wage history on SAW to see what Washington ESD has on file.

Perfect summary. Those are the key numbers to remember.

Bookmarking this thread for future reference. Lots of good info here.

Hope this helps other restaurant workers out there. The service industry can be tough and it's good to know your options for unemployment benefits if you need them.

0 coins

Absolutely. Knowledge is power when it comes to navigating the unemployment system.

Thanks again everyone. Feel much more confident about where I stand now.

Just saw this thread and wanted to add - make sure you understand the difference between being 'able' and 'available' for work. Able means physically/mentally capable of working, available means you're actively seeking and willing to accept suitable employment. Both are required for UI benefits.

0 coins

That's a good distinction to understand. I'm definitely both right now, so hopefully that continues throughout my claim.

Final reminder to keep all your documentation organized - job search records, correspondence with Washington ESD, severance pay stubs, medical records if relevant later. Having everything organized makes dealing with any questions much easier.

Great advice! I'll start a folder for all my unemployment-related documents right now. Thanks everyone for all the helpful information!

One last tip - set up direct deposit when you file your claim. Getting paid by debit card has fees and limitations. Direct deposit is free and faster.

Good call, I'll make sure to set that up. Thanks everyone for all the helpful advice!

You're welcome! Don't hesitate to ask if you run into any issues during the process.

Good luck with your claim! Sounds like you have all the info you need to get started. The sooner you file, the sooner you can start receiving benefits.
