Washington ESD should automatically send you information about what happens when your benefits end. If you haven't received anything yet, you might want to call them or use one of those services like Claimyr to make sure there isn't something you need to do on your end.
I'll probably try Claimyr if I don't hear anything in the next week or two. The phone situation with ESD is just impossible otherwise.
Thanks everyone for all the advice. This is way more complicated than I expected but at least now I know what questions to ask when I contact Washington ESD.
And seriously consider using Claimyr if you can't get through to them. It really does work and will save you hours of frustration.
One more thing - if you're collecting unemployment and then go back to work but get laid off again within a certain period, you might be able to reopen your existing claim rather than file a new one. This can help you avoid some of the qualification issues.
The whole system is a mess. I've been trying to get answers about my disqualification for weeks and can't get through to anyone at Washington ESD. It's ridiculous how hard it is to talk to a human being when you need help.
One more thing - if you get denied for any reason, you have the right to appeal. Don't just accept a denial if you think it's wrong. The appeals process exists for a reason.
I used Claimyr last month when I couldn't get through to Washington ESD about my adjudication issue. Definitely worth it if you're stuck and need to talk to someone quickly. The wait times are just insane otherwise.

Update on the Claimyr thing I mentioned earlier - I actually used it again this week to check on a different issue. Still works great for getting through to Washington ESD when you can't reach them directly.

•Yeah, beats spending hours on redial. The website is claimyr.com if anyone needs it.

Hope everything works out for you OP. Being fired is stressful enough without worrying about unemployment benefits too.
