Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. MAKE SURE you understand the difference between voluntary and involuntary job separation for your project. Washington ESD is very strict about this distinction when determining benefit eligibility.
I'll definitely emphasize that distinction. It seems like the economic classification and benefit eligibility are two separate considerations.

For anyone still struggling to get their 1099-G from Washington ESD, I finally got through using that Claimyr service someone mentioned. Took about 15 minutes and the agent was able to email me a copy of my form right away. Worth it just to avoid the phone hassle.

The application timelines are totally different too. You can apply for unemployment online and potentially start receiving benefits within 2-3 weeks. SSI applications take months just for the initial decision, and most people get denied the first time.
Yeah my cousin has been waiting 8 months for her SSI decision. Meanwhile unemployment should be much faster if you have all your paperwork ready.
