Whatever you decide, make sure you understand the job search requirements before you quit. You'll need to be actively looking for work and able/available to accept suitable employment. Can't just quit and take a vacation while collecting benefits.
Good point. I'm definitely planning to start job searching immediately if I quit.
Also remember to keep detailed records of your job search activities. Washington ESD audits those pretty regularly.

Word of warning - don't assume your payment will always be the same amount every week. If you have any earnings to report or if there are other changes, your weekly benefit amount can vary.
This is important! I had a week where I did some consulting work and forgot to report it properly. Caused a whole mess with overpayments.

One more tip - if your employer contests your claim for any reason, don't panic. Layoffs are usually pretty clear cut, but if there's a dispute you'll get a chance to tell your side of the story.
