Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

Whatever happens with your claim, make sure you keep applying for jobs and documenting your search. That requirement doesn't go away even during adjudication.
How many jobs do I need to apply for each week? I keep seeing different numbers.

One last thing - if you ever switch banks while on unemployment, make sure to update your direct deposit info with Washington ESD right away. Payments to closed accounts can cause major delays.
Good reminder! I can imagine that would cause a lot of problems if you forgot to update it.
Yeah I've heard horror stories about people having to wait weeks to get that sorted out.
Overall Washington ESD has been pretty reliable with payment timing in my experience. It's the phone support that's impossible, not the payments themselves.

Just want to add that if you switch from debit card to direct deposit, it can take a week or two for the change to take effect. Don't panic if your payment method seems off during the transition.

The key is being patient but persistent. If something seems wrong with your claim or it's taking too long, don't just sit there waiting - try to contact Washington ESD or get help somehow. The squeaky wheel gets the grease, you know?

Yeah don't be like me and just assume everything is fine when it's taking forever. Get proactive about checking on it.
One last tip - set up direct deposit when you file your claim. It's faster than waiting for a debit card to be mailed to you. You can add your bank account info right in the application.
