Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Last piece of advice - if you do run into problems or your claim gets held up, don't be afraid to reach out for help. Whether that's calling ESD, using a service like Claimyr that others mentioned, or even contacting your state representative if things get really bad. You have options.
Good to know I have escalation options if needed. Hopefully it won't come to that, but it's reassuring to know.
State reps can actually be really helpful with ESD issues. They have direct contacts there.

Just to add - after you file on esd.wa.gov, you'll get a determination letter in the mail (or electronically) telling you if you're approved and how much you'll get per week. Don't panic if it takes a few days to arrive.
How long does it usually take to get that letter?
Usually within a week, but it can take longer if there are any issues with your claim.

Been through this process twice now and the biggest thing is just getting that initial application submitted. Everything else flows from there - your weekly claims, job search requirements, everything. Don't overthink it.

One more tip - if you run into any issues with your claim getting stuck or need to speak with someone at Washington ESD, I've had success with that Claimyr service someone mentioned earlier. Worth checking out if the normal phone lines aren't working for you.

Bottom line - file between Sunday and Friday, report your previous week's activities honestly, and you'll be fine. It becomes routine after a few weeks.
