If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

Just wanted to follow up - I tried Claimyr and it actually worked! Got through to a Washington ESD agent within 30 minutes and got all my benefit questions answered. Definitely worth it if you're stuck like I was.

Awesome! Glad it worked out for you. It's such a relief when you can actually talk to a real person about your claim.

0 coins

Good to hear a success story. I'll keep that in mind if I run into issues with my claim.

0 coins

One more thing to consider - if you have a pension or retirement income, that might affect your unemployment benefits. Washington ESD has specific rules about how other income impacts your weekly benefit amount.

0 coins

That doesn't apply to me but good to know for others who might be reading this.

0 coins

Yeah, it's one of those things that can surprise people. Better to know upfront than find out when your benefits get reduced unexpectedly.

If you decide to apply for UI, I'd recommend using a service like Claimyr to help you through the process. They're really good at helping people with complicated situations get connected to the right Washington ESD representatives. Check out their demo at https://youtu.be/7DieNd3C7zQ to see if it might help.

Thanks, I'll definitely check that out. Sounds like a lot of people have had good experiences with them.

0 coins

Yeah, they're particularly helpful when you have medical documentation and special circumstances to explain.

Bottom line - do the math carefully. Factor in the duration of benefits, healthcare costs, and your realistic job prospects. UI might pay more short-term but disability provides more long-term security if you're not sure about your work capacity.

0 coins

That's really good advice. I think I need to have a more detailed conversation with my doctor about my work capacity before making any decisions.

0 coins

Definitely. And maybe talk to a benefits counselor too. They can help you understand all your options and the implications of each choice.

Last tip - if you're ever unsure about your payment status, you can always check the 'Payment Activity' section in your Washington ESD account. It shows pending payments and processing dates.

0 coins

Perfect! I'll bookmark that section in my account. You all have been incredibly helpful.

This thread should be pinned honestly. So much useful info about payment timing.

One final note from my experience - holidays can definitely push payments back by a day, so keep that in mind around Memorial Day, Labor Day, etc. Plan accordingly!

0 coins

Great point about holidays! I'll make sure to factor that in for budgeting.

Good luck with your claim! The whole process is stressful but thousands of people go through it successfully every week. You've got this!

0 coins

Thank you so much everyone! I feel way more confident about starting the process now.

0 coins

You're welcome! Come back and update us on how it goes. And remember - file as soon as possible!

0 coins

Just to add - if you worked in multiple states recently, you might need to file in the state where you earned the most wages. But since you mentioned retail work, you probably worked in Washington so you should be fine filing with Washington ESD.

0 coins

Yeah, I've only worked in Washington. Thanks for mentioning that though - I wouldn't have thought about it.

0 coins

No problem! It's one of those things that can complicate the process if you're not aware of it.

One thing people miss is that family-friendly policies during low unemployment often focus on workforce development and training rather than just income support. The idea is to help people upgrade skills while managing family responsibilities.

0 coins

That's interesting. Does Washington ESD offer training programs that accommodate family schedules?

0 coins

They do through WorkSource, but again, you have to specifically request accommodations and advocate for yourself.

I've been following this thread and want to emphasize that while the economic theory is interesting, what matters most is knowing your rights and being persistent with Washington ESD. Don't let them dismiss your legitimate family constraints.

0 coins

Agreed. Thanks everyone for the insights and practical advice. This has been really helpful for understanding both the theory and reality.

0 coins

Good luck with your claim! Hope you and your wife both find something that works for your family situation.
