Update: Used Claimyr this morning and got through to PA UC in about 15 minutes! The rep confirmed that I qualified for additional benefits within my current benefit year because I had enough work hours. They're processing it now and said my payments should continue without interruption. So relieved!
That's great news! I just tried the Claimyr service too and finally got through after weeks of trying. The UC rep said I do qualify for additional benefits since I've been working 20+ hours weekly throughout my claim period. She said to just keep filing my weekly claims as normal and they'll automatically transition me to additional benefits with no gap. Such a relief!
When my hearing happened four years ago my employer said they wouldn't attend but then showed up last minute!! Be prepared for that possibility too. The UC system is such a mess sometimes I swear... I had a completely different issue though (quit for health reasons) so maybe not relevant to your case sorry
make SURE ur on time to ur own hearing!!! my roomate was 5 min late to his phone hearing & the ref noted it in the decision against him (ironic since it was about tardiness lol). and DONT talk over the referee or interrupt even if the employer isnt there
Omg that would be awful! I'm planning to be at least 30 minutes early. Is yours in person or phone? Mine is at the UC office.
UPDATE: You all are amazing!! I tried converting my files to PDF and it WORKED!!! The system finally accepted my appeal documents. I also went ahead and mailed a paper copy certified mail just to be safe like someone suggested. Thank you everyone for your help - I was having panic attacks over this!
Great news! Smart move sending the paper copy too - always good to have backup with PA UC. Make sure you keep checking your dashboard and email for updates on your appeal status. They should send confirmation within 7-10 days that they received it.
For anyone else who finds this thread with similar issues: Error 406 in the PA UC system typically means one of four things: 1. File format incompatibility (convert to PDF) 2. File size too large (keep under 4MB) 3. Account verification incomplete (check ID.me status) 4. Browser compatibility issue (try Edge or Chrome in incognito mode) Always keep documentation of your attempts to file, and remember that paper appeals are still valid as long as they're postmarked by your deadline date.
To answer your earlier question about finding your payment status: Log into your PA UC dashboard and look for 'Payments' in the main menu. Click on that, then select 'Payment History.' You'll see a list of your payments with statuses. Look for the most recent one - if it says 'Payment Issued' with the date, then it's been processed and is on its way to your card. As for switching to direct deposit, it's very simple. Go to 'Payment Options' in your dashboard, select 'Change Payment Method,' choose Direct Deposit, and enter your bank routing and account numbers. Takes about 5 minutes, and future payments will go straight to your bank account.
One important thing to know: if this is your first payment on the Money Network card, it can take even longer - up to 7-10 business days. After the initial payment, subsequent ones are faster (2-3 business days). Also, check if there were any holidays this week as those can delay processing by another day.

This is why I switched to direct deposit instead of the Money Network card. I was having too many issues with delayed payments and random holds. With direct deposit, it's much more consistent - funds always hit my bank account Tuesday night/Wednesday morning without fail. You might want to consider switching if the card keeps giving you trouble.

•HOW do you switch to direct deposit?? I've been stuck with this stupid card for months and HATE IT! They charge fees for everything and customer service is USELESS when there's a problem. I've asked about direct deposit twice but got nowhere

•Log into your PA UC dashboard, go to "View and Maintain Account Information," then select "Payment Information" and "Modify." You'll be able to enter your bank routing and account numbers there. The change takes effect for your next payment cycle. Make sure your bank info is 100% accurate or it will cause delays.

•FINALLY got mine too! Just posted at 2:45. What a relief. Wish they'd communicate better when there are delays though.
