btw dont forget u still need to file your weekly claims even while waiting for the card!! i know someone who thought they could stop filing after approval but then they had to restart their whole claim!
I just went through this exact situation last month! My card took 6 business days to arrive after my payments showed as "issued" in the portal. One thing I wish someone had told me - when you get large backpay like that, Money Network will likely put a temporary security hold on your card. Mine was for $5,200 and they held it for 2 days while I verified my identity over the phone. Have your driver's license and Social Security card ready when you call to activate. Also, once you get through the hold process, you can set up direct deposit for future payments so you won't have to wait for the card again. Hang in there, you're almost at the finish line!
This is super helpful, thank you! It's reassuring to hear from someone who just went through the same thing. I'll definitely have my ID and SSN ready when the card arrives. Did you have any issues with the identity verification process, or was it pretty straightforward once you got through to someone? And good point about the direct deposit - I'll set that up immediately after getting access to avoid this whole waiting game for future payments.
hey just wondering did they send u anything showing how they determined u were "unprofessional"?? like did they have specific dates or incidents? or was it just a general claim? that makes a BIG difference in how u should approach ur appeal!!
I was a PA UC claims examiner for 5 years (not anymore). Here's what you need to know: The vast majority of employers contest ALL unemployment claims automatically, even when they know they don't have a case. They hope claimants won't appeal or won't show up to the hearing. Your case sounds very winnable. The fact that your termination letter has no reason listed is extremely helpful for you. In PA, vague allegations of "unprofessionalism" without specific documented incidents almost always get overturned on appeal. Just make sure you file that appeal within the 15-day window, keep filing weekly claims, and be prepared to explain your side calmly and factually during the hearing. Good luck!
This is so true! My former employer fights EVERY claim even when they do mass layoffs that are clearly not the employees' fault. It's disgusting but standard practice. The whole system favors employers because they know most people give up after being denied.
So glad to see your payment finally came through! I'm dealing with the same issue right now - my payment has been showing as "paid" since April 20th but still nothing in my account. Reading through all these responses is both reassuring and frustrating at the same time. It's crazy that this is such a common problem with the PA UC system. I guess I'll wait a few more days based on what everyone's saying about the 7-10 day timeline, but man, it's nerve-wracking when you're counting on that money!
@Kara Yoshida I totally get how nerve-wracking it is! I was in the exact same boat just a few days ago. Based on what Daryl mentioned about the processing issue affecting payments from April 16-19, and since yours is from April 20th, you might be in the next wave of delayed payments. The waiting is absolutely the worst part, especially when bills are due. Hopefully yours comes through in the next day or two! Keep us posted when it arrives.
This thread has been so helpful! I'm currently waiting on a payment that's been showing "paid" since April 22nd, so it sounds like I'm part of the ongoing Treasury processing delays that @Daryl Bright mentioned. It's honestly a relief to know this is a system-wide issue and not something wrong with my specific claim. The stress of waiting for money you desperately need is just awful - especially when the system makes it look like everything is fine on their end. Thanks to everyone for sharing their experiences and timelines. It really helps to know we're not alone in this mess!
Based on your last comment, SAVE THAT TEXT showing the 10pm notification for a 6am shift! That's exactly the kind of documentation that helped me win my appeal. Make sure to file your initial claim ASAP - the system will likely deny you automatically, but then you'll have the right to appeal and present your evidence. Start applying for jobs immediately too, as you'll need to show job search efforts regardless of the outcome.
Good luck with your claim! I went through something similar as a single parent and the appeal process can be stressful but it's worth fighting for. One thing I learned - when you have your eligibility interview, bring printed copies of all your texts and documentation. The referees appreciate having physical evidence they can review during the call. Also, if you get denied initially (which is common), don't panic. The appeal process is where most people actually win their cases because you get to present your full story with evidence. Keep applying for jobs in the meantime and document your job search efforts. You've got solid documentation with those schedule change texts, especially that 10pm-for-6am example. That shows exactly the kind of impossible situation that makes continued employment unreasonable for a parent.

I'm dealing with this exact same issue right now! Got my first UC payment on my Money Network card yesterday and I'm getting the same "Invalid account status" error when trying to transfer to my bank account. Reading through these comments is such a relief - I was starting to panic that something was seriously wrong with my claim. It sounds like the 3-business-day hold is the most likely culprit. I'm going to wait until early next week to try again, and I'll definitely try the smaller test transfer approach that @Lucas Turner mentioned since my balance is also over $1,000. @QuantumQuasar - thanks for posting this question! It's so frustrating how they don't clearly explain these holds anywhere. The card activation process made it sound like I could use it immediately for everything. Really hoping this gets resolved for both of us on Monday!

•@Miguel Harvey I m'so glad this thread helped you too! It s'crazy how many people are dealing with this exact same issue and how poorly it s'explained by PA UC. I was literally losing sleep over this thinking my benefits were going to get frozen or something. The community here has been incredibly helpful - way more than the official customer service lines. Definitely let me know how your transfer goes on Monday! Fingers crossed we both get this sorted out quickly.

Just wanted to add another data point here - I had this EXACT same error message about 2 months ago with my PA Money Network card. Same situation: could see my balance ($2,100) but couldn't transfer it anywhere. After reading through all these helpful comments, it definitely sounds like the 3-business-day hold is the standard issue. In my case, I waited the 3 days and it worked perfectly. But I also learned a few things that might help: 1. The Money Network website (not the app) actually shows a "transfer status" section that indicates if there are any holds - wish I had known this earlier! 2. When you do try to transfer after the waiting period, do it during business hours (9am-4pm). I tried at like 11pm on a Sunday and got weird errors, but it worked fine the next morning. 3. If you're still getting errors after 3-4 business days, there might actually be a verification issue with your claim that needs to be resolved with PA UC directly. The system is definitely confusing and poorly explained, but the good news is this particular error usually resolves itself with time. Hope everyone gets their transfers working soon!
