If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

I'm really sorry you're going through this stress - the whole PA Treasury reissue process is such a nightmare when you need the money urgently! I went through something similar about 8 months ago and here's what actually helped me get results faster: 1. Call the Treasury number (717-787-6998) first thing in the morning around 8:15 AM - that's when I had the most luck getting through to someone who could actually look up my case 2. When you do get someone, ask specifically if your replacement has been "queued for the next check run" and what date that run is scheduled for 3. If they say it hasn't been queued yet, ask what's holding it up - sometimes there are simple verification steps you can complete over the phone The state rep suggestion is GOLD - mine was able to get my replacement processed in about 2 weeks instead of the 4-6 weeks they originally quoted me. Also, since your amount is over $1,400, there's a good chance it got flagged for additional fraud verification which adds time. But the good news is that once it clears that verification, the actual check gets issued pretty quickly. Document every call with dates and names - it really helps when you need to follow up. Hang in there, the check will come!

This is exactly the kind of detailed advice I was hoping for! Thank you so much @Callum Savage. I'm definitely going to try calling that Treasury number first thing tomorrow morning at 8:15 AM like you suggested. The idea about asking specifically if it's been "queued for the next check run" is really smart - that gives me something concrete to ask about instead of just "when will I get my check?" I had no idea that amounts over $1,400 might get flagged for extra verification, but that actually makes sense given how much mine is for. At least now I know what might be causing the delay. I'm feeling a bit more hopeful that between calling Treasury directly, contacting my state rep, and maybe using that Claimyr service to get through to UC, I might be able to get this resolved faster than the worst-case scenarios I've been reading about. Really appreciate everyone's help in this thread!

Just want to add my experience since I see so many people going through the same thing! My replacement check took exactly 3 weeks and 2 days from when I submitted the tracker form. The key things that seemed to help were: 1. Calling Treasury every Tuesday and Friday to check status (they told me Tuesdays and Fridays are when they update their system) 2. My state rep's office put in a request after I'd been waiting 2 weeks - I think that's what actually pushed it through 3. I made sure to ask specifically about the "fraud verification hold" that someone mentioned here, and turns out mine WAS flagged for that which explained the delay One thing nobody mentioned yet - if you have direct deposit set up for your regular UC payments, sometimes they CAN do direct deposit for the replacement even though it originally came as a check. It depends on the reason the original payment was issued as a check, but it's worth asking! Mine was able to be direct deposited which saved me another week of waiting for mail. Also @Nina Chan I saw your rent situation - definitely show your landlord the tracker confirmation AND any notes from calls you make to Treasury. Most landlords will work with you when they see you're actively trying to resolve it and have official documentation. Good luck!

@Yara Khalil This is super helpful info, especially about calling on Tuesdays and Fridays when they update their system! I had no idea there were specific days that would be better for getting updates. The direct deposit option for replacements sounds amazing - I m'definitely going to ask about that when I call tomorrow. It s'crazy that they can do it sometimes but not always depending on why the original was issued as a check. Your timeline of 3 weeks and 2 days gives me hope that mine might not take the full 4-6 weeks some people are talking about. I m'definitely going to push for that fraud verification check too since my amount is similar to yours. Thanks for sharing your experience - it s'really encouraging to hear from someone who actually got through the process successfully!

Wow, this thread is super helpful! I'm dealing with a similar situation right now where I filed too early and got denied for insufficient base period wages. It's so frustrating that in 2025 we still have to deal with mailing forms and impossible phone lines. I'm definitely going to try the Claimyr service to get through - seems like multiple people here had success with it. Also good to know about the CareerLink option as backup. The PA UC system really needs to catch up with modern technology!

You're absolutely right about the system needing to modernize! I just went through this exact same process last month. The Claimyr service really does work - I was skeptical at first but it saved me so much time and frustration. Just make sure you have all your information ready when they connect you to the agent (SSN, claim number, etc.) so you can get everything handled in one call. The whole situation is ridiculous but at least there are workarounds now. Good luck with your withdrawal and reapplication!

I went through this exact same nightmare situation in December 2024! Filed too early, got denied for insufficient wages, and then discovered the archaic withdrawal process. Here's what actually worked for me: I tried the Claimyr service that others mentioned and got connected to an agent in about 20 minutes. The agent was able to process my withdrawal over the phone immediately - no mailing forms or waiting weeks! She explained that phone withdrawals are definitely possible for denied claims, it's just not well-publicized on their website. Cost me like $20 for the Claimyr service but saved me literally weeks of waiting. After the withdrawal was processed (took about 3 business days), I was able to file a new claim with my updated wages and got approved. The whole PA UC system is stuck in the stone age but at least there are ways to work around it now!

This is really encouraging to hear! I'm in almost the exact same boat - filed in early January and got the dreaded insufficient wages denial. Been putting off dealing with the withdrawal because the whole mailing process seemed so antiquated. Your experience with Claimyr gives me hope that I can actually get this resolved quickly. $20 is totally worth it to avoid weeks of bureaucratic limbo. Did you have to provide any specific information when the agent processed your withdrawal over the phone, or was it pretty straightforward once you got connected?

I just went through this same nightmare last month! What worked for me was actually doing a full browser reset - not just clearing cache but completely resetting Chrome to default settings. Also, make sure you're not using any VPN services as IDme flags those as suspicious. One thing that nobody mentions is that if you have multiple IDme accounts (maybe from other government services), you need to use the EXACT same one you used before or it will create conflicts. The PA UC system doesn't handle multiple IDme accounts well at all. If all else fails, the [email protected] email that @Liam Mendez mentioned is legit - they helped me when I was completely stuck.

Thanks for mentioning the multiple IDme accounts issue - that's something I hadn't considered! I think I might have created an IDme account for another state program a while back. How do you check which IDme account is linked to your PA UC? Do you have to contact IDme directly or can PA UC tell you? This could explain why some people have such different experiences with the verification process.

I just went through this exact same issue two weeks ago! The IDme verification has been super glitchy lately. What finally worked for me was a combination of things: first, I went directly to id.me and made sure my account was fully verified there (including uploading a photo of my driver's license). Then I used Chrome in private/incognito mode, disabled all extensions, and tried accessing the PA UC site around 6am when there's less traffic. The key was doing the IDme verification separately first - once that was complete, the PA UC integration worked immediately. Also make sure you're using the same email address for both your PA UC account and your IDme account, as mismatches can cause the endless loading screen. Hope this helps!

This is really helpful advice! I'm dealing with a similar IDme issue right now and hadn't thought about doing the verification directly on id.me first. Quick question - when you say "fully verified," does that mean completing the identity proofing with the selfie and document upload? I've been stuck on the PA UC side but maybe I should start fresh on the IDme website itself. Also, did you have to wait any specific amount of time between completing the IDme verification and trying the PA UC portal again?

I'm in a similar situation and just wanted to share what I learned from my experience. I hit my 26-week limit last month and was also confused about the remaining balance. What helped me was actually going to my local CareerLink office in person rather than trying to call. The staff there were much more helpful and walked me through exactly what happens after benefits end. They also signed me up for some job training programs that I didn't even know existed. For immediate help with expenses, definitely apply for SNAP like others mentioned. I also found out about emergency assistance through my county's social services office - they helped with a utility bill when I was really struggling. Every little bit helps when you're transitioning off UC. The job market is tough right now but don't give up! I ended up finding something through a temp agency that turned into a permanent position. It's not exactly what I was doing before, but it's keeping me afloat while I figure out my next move. Hang in there - you're not alone in this!

0 coins

Thanks for sharing your experience! Going to CareerLink in person is such a good tip - I never thought about that. I've been so focused on trying to get through on the phone that I forgot they have actual offices where you can talk to real people. The temp agency route is something I should definitely look into. I've been so tunnel-visioned on finding something permanent in my exact field that I might be missing opportunities that could at least bridge the gap financially. Did the job training programs cost anything? And how long did they take? I'm worried about committing to something that might take months when I need income now, but if it's shorter term it could be worth it.

I just wanted to jump in with some encouragement - I was in your exact shoes about 8 months ago and I know how scary it feels when you're approaching that 26-week cliff. The stress is real! A few things that helped me through that transition: 1. Don't wait until your last week to start applying for other assistance programs. I wish I had applied for SNAP and looked into emergency rental assistance sooner rather than waiting until I was completely panicked. 2. Check if your local library has career services - mine offered free resume reviews and even had computers set up specifically for job searching. Some also have partnerships with employment agencies. 3. Consider gig work as a bridge - I did DoorDash and Instacart for a few weeks which wasn't great money but it kept some cash flowing while I job hunted. Just make sure to report any earnings if you're still claiming UC. The whole "leftover balance" thing drove me crazy too, but everyone here is right - that money was never really guaranteed to you, it was just the maximum possible benefit. Still frustrating though! You'll get through this. The fact that you're asking questions and planning ahead shows you're being smart about it. Good luck with your job search!

0 coins

This is really helpful advice, thank you! I never thought about checking the library for career services - that's such a smart resource that I bet a lot of people overlook. The gig work suggestion is interesting too. I've been hesitant about those apps because I wasn't sure how it would affect my UC claim, but if I'm going to be cut off anyway after this week, it might be a good way to keep some money coming in while I search for something more stable. Did you find that doing gig work made it harder to focus on your "real" job search, or was it manageable to balance both? I'm worried about getting stuck in survival mode and losing momentum on finding something in my career field. Also really appreciate the reminder about applying for assistance programs early. I think I've been in denial about how close I am to the end and haven't wanted to face applying for things like SNAP, but you're right that waiting until I'm completely desperate isn't helping anyone.

One more thing to consider: if your current unemployment is with the same employer as when you received PUA, that might complicate things. But if it's a different employer, your case for waiver is stronger since it's a completely different claim. Also, make sure you're accurately reporting any part-time/gig work on your new claim to avoid creating another overpayment situation.

0 coins

It's actually a different employer this time, so that's good to know that might help my case. And yes, I'll be extremely careful about reporting everything correctly this time around. Thanks for the advice!

0 coins

I went through something similar last year and want to echo what others have said - definitely file for regular UC right away, don't let the overpayment stop you. In my case, they approved my regular claim but did set up automatic deductions of about 33% from each payment to pay back the PUA overpayment. The key thing that helped me was requesting a hardship waiver immediately after filing. I had to show that the deductions would prevent me from paying for basic necessities like rent and food. It took about 2 months to get approved, but once they did, they stopped the deductions and even refunded what they had already taken. Also, since your overpayment notice just came last week, you still have time to appeal if you think it was issued in error. You have 15 days from the date on the notice. Even if you're not sure you'll win the appeal, filing it can sometimes buy you time while they review your case. Hang in there - the system is frustrating but there are options available to help with situations like this!

0 coins

Thank you so much for this detailed response! It's really reassuring to hear from someone who went through the exact same thing. I'm definitely going to file for regular UC today and then immediately request the hardship waiver. The 15-day appeal deadline is something I hadn't fully considered - I should probably look into that too since I honestly don't remember working during the period they're claiming I didn't report earnings for. Did you have to provide a lot of documentation for your hardship waiver, or was it pretty straightforward?
