Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

While they can't help with employer-specific SUB plans, they were great for resolving my regular UI claim problems when I couldn't get through the phone lines.

This is exactly why the unemployment system is so confusing! They use all these technical terms but don't explain what they actually mean. Just went through this same confusion last month! The weekly certification form is asking for your GROSS earnings, not asking you to calculate any rates. Report exactly what you earned before taxes and the NYS Department of Labor system automatically applies their partial benefit formula. Just to add - when you file for unemployment make sure you have all your employer information ready including exact dates and addresses. NYS Department of Labor will contact your previous employer to verify everything so accuracy is important. Any mistakes can delay your claim approval.
The whole system is designed to make you give up honestly. They ask for so much documentation and then take forever to process anything. But stick with it because the benefits do help while you're looking for work.

honestly the whole system is set up against workers anyway. they make it nearly impossible to qualify if you quit even when your boss is making your life miserable. meanwhile employers can fire you for basically anything and you get benefits no problem. makes no sense

Before you quit, consider filing complaints with HR if your company has an HR department, or with the Department of Labor for workplace violations. Having these on record can strengthen your case if you do end up quitting and filing for unemployment. Also look into whether your situation might qualify for constructive dismissal - that's when working conditions become so intolerable that quitting is essentially being forced out.
