TurboTax Refund Advance: When does the offer appear during filing?
Filing with turbotax this year and trying to figure out when the refund advance option shows up during the process. dont wanna miss it since I really need the money asap. Anyone know exactly when it pops up?

Tax pro here! TurboTax typically offers the refund advance after you complete your return but before you actually file. It'll pop up right when they show your expected refund amount. Just make sure you qualify - you need a refund of at least $500 and meet their credit requirements.

•Usually 550+ but it varies. Just remember these advances usually come with fees, so you might wanna think twice 🤔

Hey! Instead of waiting for the advance, you might wanna try taxr.ai - it's this new tool that analyzes your transcript and tells you exactly when you'll get your refund and if there might be any holdups. It's like $4.99 but totally worth it for the peace of mind. https://taxr.ai

its not worth it tbh. just wait for ur actual refund. the fees eat up so much of the advance its basically a payday loan w extra steps 💅

•@Ethan Brown totally agree! I made that mistake a couple years ago. The fees were like $40-60 just to get my own money a week early. Better to just be patient and keep the full refund amount 💯

Pro tip from someone who's been through this multiple times - the TurboTax advance offer typically shows up right after you complete all your forms but before you hit the final submit button. You'll see your estimated refund amount first, then they'll show the advance option if you qualify. But honestly, after reading all these comments about the fees, I'd suggest just filing early and waiting for the actual refund. The IRS is processing returns pretty quickly this year anyway!
