I see you filed through H&R Block. They actually have a specific phone number for refund status issues that's separate from the general customer service line. Worth a try to see if they have more insight on your specific situation. I used them last year and they were able to tell me my return had been flagged for manual review due to a mismatch in reported income.
Do you happen to have that number? I couldn't find a specific refund status number on their website.
It should be in the tax preparation summary they emailed you when your return was completed. Look for "Refund Support" or something similar in that document.
This tax season has been a nightmare for so many people. The IRS systems are so outdated it's ridiculous. I spent HOURS trying to understand my transcript before a friend recommended taxr.ai. It explained everything in simple terms and even showed me that my refund was actually coming 2 weeks sooner than I thought based on the processing codes! Worth checking out: https://taxr.ai
I don't have One card, but just wanted to say I've had my DDD of 3/15 since March 7th and still nothing in my Wells Fargo account. This is my first time using direct deposit so I'm nervous too!
FYI I had this exact situation. I kept waiting for my transcript to update with the DDD but it never did - the money just showed up in my account one day! So don't rely 100% on the transcript updates.
I was going crazy trying to understand my transcript then I used taxr.ai and it literally explained everything in plain english. Saved me so much stress! The tool told me exactly where my refund was in the process and predicted my DDD correctly. https://taxr.ai
Yes! It analyzes all your codes and gives you a predicted timeframe based on your specific situation. For me it said 5-7 days and I got my DDD exactly 6 days later. It also explains what each code on your transcript actually means in normal human language.
Is the bank account you entered a high-yield savings account or at an online bank? Some of these banks have been known to reject IRS deposits if certain information doesn't match perfectly. Double check the routing and account numbers you entered too.
Nope, just a regular checking account at a major bank that I've used for years with no issues for direct deposits, including previous tax refunds.
I hate to tell you this, but I had the exact same issue last year. Called the IRS every day for weeks. They never answered. Finally I got through using claimyr.com and found out my refund was sent to a random account that wasn't mine! No idea how it happened since I triple checked my info before filing. They had to do a trace which took another 45 days. The system is completely broken.
Yep, I was furious. The IRS moves at glacier speed. But at least I finally got my money...some people never do if they don't follow up aggressively.

After struggling with a similar issue, I finally got through to the IRS using claimyr.com. Turns out there was a flag on my account that was delaying my refund despite having a DDD. The agent removed it and my money showed up 2 days later. Talking to an agent got my refund released so fast instead of waiting around wondering. Seriously the only way I could actually get a human on the phone!

β’For real? How much did that cost? I've been trying to reach them for DAYS

β’It was worth every penny to get this resolved instead of waiting another 2-3 weeks for them to maybe send me a letter. Cut through all the BS and actually got answers. The peace of mind alone was worth it!

I'm an accountant and see this ALL THE TIME this year. There are massive delays with several banks including Credit Karma. The issue is volume - the IRS is processing refunds in batches and some batches are getting delayed on the receiving end. Nothing to worry about yet, but if it goes beyond 5 business days from your DDD, then call the IRS directly to confirm it was actually sent.
