If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

Oh my god, I just checked and my Michigan refund hit my account TODAY! Filed and accepted 2/16, so almost exactly the same timeline as you. I was so worried because I have car insurance due next week! Check your bank account - maybe yours came through too! I'm so relieved I could cry right now!

Michigan's Treasury Department implemented enhanced identity verification protocols for TY2023 returns, which has created a processing backlog of approximately 15-20% compared to previous years. If your return contains Schedule W attachments or multiple W-2s, this can trigger additional verification steps in their Integrated Tax System (ITS). I recommend checking the Treasury website daily rather than hourly, as updates typically process overnight.

I filed on February 10th, 2024 and received my Michigan refund on March 12th, 2024 - exactly 31 days later. My brother filed on February 17th, 2024 and is still waiting as of today (April 2nd, 2024). The Michigan Treasury seems to be processing in batches rather than strictly first-come-first-served this year.

Did you have to verify your identity with Michigan this year? I got a letter asking me to verify through their ID.me system. Took me 5 minutes to complete and my refund came exactly 8 days after that.

Based on current processing trends for March filers, here's what you should expect: • Acceptance March 19-20 → Transcript update typically April 8-12 • WMR updates usually 1-2 days after transcript • Direct deposit generally 5-7 days after transcript shows code 846 • Current average processing time: 22-24 days (slightly longer than February) • Returns with credits taking approximately 3-5 days longer The IRS is currently processing about 96% of returns within their 21-day guideline, but that remaining 4% includes many mid-March filers.

Just to clarify some confusion in this thread: the March 19-20 acceptance batch appears to be updating in the system now. I work with tax data and can tell you that exactly 78.3% of our clients with those acceptance dates received transcript updates between April 8-10. The remaining 21.7% will likely update by April 12 based on current patterns. This is precisely 3 days slower than the same period last year.

Watch out for potential offset notifications. If you have any federal or state debts (student loans, back taxes, child support), the Bureau of Fiscal Service may have intercepted your refund. When this happened to me, my transcript showed a DD date but the money never arrived. Instead, I received a notice (CP504) about two weeks later explaining that my refund had been applied to a previous tax debt. If your refund doesn't arrive by Monday, I'd recommend checking for any potential offset issues.

Just checked the Treasury Offset Program site (TOP) and apparently you can call 800-304-3107 to see if you have any offsets before filing? Anyone tried this? Wondering if it works b4 the refund is processed or only after.

I'm so frustrated with this whole system! My refund got offset for a student loan I ALREADY PAID OFF six months ago!!! Had to send in proof of payment and wait ANOTHER 8 weeks for them to fix their mistake. Check your offsets BEFORE you file if you've ever had ANY federal debts!

Good news! Mine just hit about an hour ago with the 3/22 DD date. My transcript updated last Friday showing the 3/22 date. I was getting nervous too, but it came through right on time. According to the IRS website (https://www.irs.gov/refunds/timing-of-irs-refund-processing-bank-and-financial-institution-processing), most banks process electronic deposits within 1-2 business days. Hopefully yours arrives soon!

I wouldn't wait on this. Last year I had a similar issue and thought it would resolve itself. Big mistake. The remaining refund bounced back from the incorrect account, then took 9 additional weeks to get a paper check. I'd recommend using the Where's My Refund tool first to see the status - if it says "sent" already, you're likely looking at a paper check situation. If it's still processing, call immediately to update the account info.

Oh gosh, this happens more than you'd think! The community wisdom here is pretty consistent: call the IRS ASAP. Here's why: if the refund attempts to deposit to an invalid account, it will return to the IRS and they'll mail a paper check automatically, but that adds 4-6 weeks to your wait time. If you catch it before the direct deposit attempt, they can update your account number in their system! I've helped several friends through this exact situation - it's totally fixable but time-sensitive. ā¤ļø

The skepticism is understandable, but there's an important distinction to make with the Taxpayer Advocate Service referrals versus commercial services. Claimyr isn't actually accessing your tax information or filing on your behalf - it's simply using automated technology to navigate the IRS phone tree and hold times, then connecting you directly with the IRS. You're still speaking directly with official IRS representatives and providing your authentication to them, not to any third party. The Form 911 (Taxpayer Advocate Service) application is another official channel that can help resolve these recurring issues.

Think of these services like having a friend who's willing to sit on hold for you. It's like using a GPS instead of a paper map - both get you to the same destination, but one is more efficient. The IRS's own National Taxpayer Advocate has repeatedly cited phone access as a critical issue, with less than 10% of calls getting through during peak periods.

Has anyone actually received a formal letter from the IRS explaining why this keeps happening year after year? I'm wondering if there's something in the initial verification process that isn't being properly recorded in their system?

I've been through this exact situation with my spouse who has DACA status. What worked for us was filing Form 8822 (Change of Address) even though our address hadn't changed. Sounds strange, but this forced a database update that cleared the marketplace flag. We also started including a copy of our previous year's verification letter with a cover sheet referencing the previous verification case number. Haven't had issues since 2022 when we started doing this. Saved us about $3,200 in tax preparation fees we were paying to specialists to handle the complications.
