If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

I had to verify my ID last year and it was a nightmare. Took me 3 months to finally get it sorted. Hang in there OP, you'll get through it eventually!

3 months?? Oh man, I hope it doesn't take that long for me. Did you have any specific issues or was it just the general IRS slowness?

Mostly just slowness and bad luck. My documents got lost in the mail at one point, which set everything back. Definitely recommend sending things certified if you have to mail anything!

Has anyone tried using a tax professional or CPA to help with this process? Wondering if it's worth the extra cost to save the headache...

0 coins

I used a CPA and it was 100% worth it. They handled everything and I didn't have to deal with the IRS at all.

Depends on your situation tbh. If its a simple verification, probably not worth the money. But if you have a complicated tax situation, might be a good idea.

Here's what worked for me: 1. Call early in the morning 2. Use the Spanish option (even if you don't speak Spanish) 3. When you get a person, politely ask to be transferred to English-speaking support 4. Be super nice to everyone you talk to It took a few tries, but I finally got through this way. Good luck!

Isn't this kinda unethical tho? Taking up Spanish-speaking resources when you don't need them?

I hear you, but desperate times call for desperate measures. The whole system is broken anyway.

Has anyone tried negotiating the amount they owe? I've heard you can sometimes get it reduced.

That's called an Offer in Compromise. It's a whole different process and pretty complicated. Might want to talk to a tax professional about that one.

Ah gotcha, thanks for the info! Might look into that if the payment plan doesn't work out.

PSA: Watch out for scammers claiming to be from the IRS! They'll never call you out of the blue demanding payment.

Quick question - did they give you any timeframe for when you'll actually get your refund after sorting out the verification?

0 coins

They said it could take up to 9 weeks 😩 But at least the ball is rolling now!

0 coins

9 weeks?! Jeez, they really know how to test our patience. Hang in there!

For real! It's like they're allergic to efficiency πŸ˜‚

To be fair, they're dealing with massive amounts of sensitive data. Upgrades take time and have to be super secure. But yeah, it's frustrating af for us users.

Protip: If you're having trouble with the IRS website, try accessing it during off-peak hours. Like super early in the morning or late at night. Sometimes it's just overloaded during the day.
