Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

have u tried going karen on them? sometimes u gotta be the squeaky wheel to get the grease 🤷♀️ ask for supervisors, threaten to go to the media, make a scene (politely) at the bank. it sucks but sometimes it works

This is why we need a complete overhaul of the unemployment system. It's a joke that people have to jump through so many hoops just to get the benefits they're entitled to. Sorry you're dealing with this, OP.

That's actually a good point. I remember reading something about EDD cracking down after all that fraud. Still doesn't excuse not notifying people though.

PROTIP: Guarda TODOS tus documentos y correspondencia con el EDD. TODO. Nunca sabes cuándo vas a necesitar demostrar algo. Me ha salvado el pellejo más de una vez.

Si te mudaste fuera de California, generalmente tienes que cerrar tu reclamo aquí y abrir uno nuevo en tu nuevo estado. Cada estado maneja sus propios beneficios de desempleo.

Quick question - did you file a new claim in CA or are you trying to transfer an existing claim? The process can be different depending on your situation.

Nah, you did it right. Just making sure! The transfer should happen automatically, but it can take a few weeks. Hang in there!
