Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

I'm actually a real estate agent now and went through this exact situation about 3 years ago! Your husband should be totally fine as long as he stays truly available for work. I did my pre-licensing course online while collecting UI benefits and had zero issues with EDD. The course was self-paced so I could easily pause studying for interviews or job opportunities. One thing I wish someone had told me - once he passes the state exam and gets his license, he'll need to find a brokerage to hang his license with. Even if he's not actively working yet, some brokerages require you to report those "affiliated" hours to EDD. I learned this the hard way when my broker told me I needed to report being "on call" even though I hadn't made any sales yet. Just something to keep in mind for down the road. The real estate market can be tough starting out, but if he's willing to put in the work, it can definitely be more stable than construction long-term. Best of luck to him!

I'm dealing with this exact same issue right now! Got the certification email yesterday but my UI Online dashboard is completely empty - no weeks showing up anywhere. I've tried logging in multiple times, cleared my browser cache, and even tried different browsers. My claim shows as active with months left on my benefit year, so I know that's not the issue. Same exact situation here! I got the certification email on Monday and have been refreshing UI Online every few hours since then with no luck. It's so frustrating because the email makes it sound urgent but then you can't actually do anything about it. This happened to me about 6 months ago and it was so stressful! I was getting the certification emails but my UI Online account showed absolutely nothing. Turns out I had an old employment verification request that was sitting in my inbox that I somehow missed - even though I had already provided all the documents they asked for months earlier. The system was waiting for me to "acknowledge" that the verification was complete, which blocked my certification weeks from appearing. Once I found that buried message and clicked the acknowledgment button, my weeks showed up immediately. Check your UI Online inbox super carefully - sometimes there are messages that don't show up with the usual notification badges. I found a message from 3 weeks ago about "updated claim information review" that I thought I had already dealt with, but there was actually a small "acknowledge receipt" button at the bottom that I never clicked. Just clicked it now and my certification weeks appeared instantly! Thank you so much - I never would have thought to look for something like that. For anyone else reading this, definitely check your inbox for ANY messages, even ones you think you've already handled!
