If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

I'm dealing with this exact same issue right now! My partner has been trying to file for PFL for the past week and keeps getting the verification error. It's so reassuring to see we're not the only ones experiencing this nightmare. Reading through everyone's experiences, I'm definitely going to try the new ID.me account approach first thing tomorrow morning. The fact that multiple people have had success with this gives me hope. I had no idea the January system update was causing so many problems - EDD really should have communicated this better to users. One question for those who successfully got through - after creating the new ID.me account, did you have to wait any specific amount of time before calling EDD to link the accounts, or were you able to call immediately? We're also cutting it close with timing, so every day counts at this point. Thanks to everyone for sharing their experiences and solutions. This thread is incredibly helpful for those of us navigating this frustrating system!

I can help answer that timing question! When we created the new ID.me account, we were able to call EDD the same day. We actually did it all in one morning - my husband set up the fresh ID.me account around 7:30am using his work email, then we used Claimyr to get through to EDD around 9am. The representative was able to link everything immediately during that same call. The key thing is just making sure the new ID.me account is fully verified before you call. That process took about 10-15 minutes for us (they had him upload a photo of his driver's license and take a selfie). Once that was done, the EDD rep could see the new account in their system right away. Don't wait - every day really does count with these applications. Good luck getting through! The combination of new ID.me account plus using a callback service to reach EDD seems to be the winning formula based on everyone's experiences here.

This thread has been a lifesaver! I'm going through the exact same verification nightmare right now with my EDD PFL application. My baby is due in 2 weeks and I've been stuck on this error for 5 days straight. Based on everyone's advice here, I'm going to try creating a new ID.me account tomorrow morning and then use one of those callback services to reach EDD. It's frustrating that we have to jump through all these hoops, but at least now I have a clear plan of action instead of just repeatedly hitting refresh and hoping the error goes away. Quick question - for those who successfully got through, did the EDD rep mention anything about how long this verification issue is expected to last? I'm wondering if other expecting parents should be warned about starting their applications even earlier than the usual 2-3 week recommendation. Thanks again to everyone for sharing your experiences and solutions. This community is amazing!

I'm so glad this thread is helping you too! I just went through this same ordeal last month and know how stressful it is when you're so close to your due date. From what the EDD rep told me when I finally got through, they said the verification issues are ongoing and they don't have a firm timeline for when they'll be fully resolved. She mentioned they're working with ID.me to fix the integration problems, but it could be "several more weeks" - which obviously isn't helpful when you need benefits to start soon! Based on my experience and everyone else's here, I'd definitely recommend other expecting parents start their PFL applications at least 4-5 weeks early now instead of the usual 2-3 weeks. Better to have everything ready and waiting than to be scrambling with technical issues while you're in the final weeks of pregnancy. The new ID.me account plus callback service approach really does work though - just make sure to have all your documents ready before you call since they might ask you to verify information during that same conversation. Wishing you the best of luck getting it sorted out quickly!

I just went through this same situation a few months ago with my twins! Here's what I learned that might help: 1. Yes, you'll need to file separate DE2508 forms again - treat it like a completely new claim even though it's for the same baby. 2. You CANNOT file early for PFL baby bonding (unlike disability claims). I made this mistake and had to resubmit everything. File on your exact first day of leave - set phone reminders! 3. Make sure both you and your husband coordinate with your respective HR/payroll departments about the exact transition date. When my husband's leave started the day after mine ended, there was initially some confusion about overlapping vs consecutive claims. 4. Processing times are definitely longer for second claims right now - mine took almost 3 weeks vs 5 days for my initial claim. Budget for this delay! 5. Pro tip: Take screenshots of your online submission confirmations and save all confirmation emails. EDD's system has been glitchy since their updates and having this documentation saved me when my claim temporarily "disappeared" from their system. The whole process is worth it though - enjoy your extended bonding time with your little one! 💕

Thank you so much for sharing your experience with twins - that must have been quite the process! The tip about taking screenshots is brilliant, especially with all the system issues people are mentioning. I'm definitely going to document everything thoroughly. Your point about coordinating the exact transition date between spouses is really important. We're planning for my husband's leave to start immediately after mine ends, so I'll make sure both our HR departments understand the sequential timing to avoid any confusion about overlapping claims. Did you run into any issues with EDD questioning why you were taking leave in chunks rather than all at once? I'm a bit worried they might flag our applications as unusual since we're both splitting our time.

As someone who just went through this exact process last month, I can confirm what others have said - you'll need new DE2508 forms and unfortunately cannot file early for PFL baby bonding (I tried and got rejected too!). One thing I haven't seen mentioned yet is to make sure you both check your EDD online accounts before filing to ensure all your personal information is still current. My address had changed since my first claim and I didn't realize it until my payment got delayed because the mail went to my old address. Also, when you file on your respective start dates, do it early in the morning if possible. The EDD online system tends to be slower/glitchier during peak hours. I filed mine at 6 AM on my first day and it went through smoothly. Your plan to have your husband start immediately after you sounds perfect - that's exactly what we did and it worked great for maximizing family time while ensuring income continuity. Just make sure you both communicate those exact dates to your employers clearly to avoid any payroll coding issues. Good luck with your bonding time! It's such a special period and worth all the paperwork hassle. 🍼

Great point about checking your EDD online account info beforehand! I didn't even think about address changes potentially causing delays. The early morning filing tip is also really smart - I've heard EDD's system can be super slow during business hours. Quick question - when you say you filed at 6 AM, was that Pacific time? I'm on the East Coast but obviously dealing with California EDD, so I want to make sure I'm timing it right for their system. Also, did you get any kind of immediate confirmation that your application went through, or did you have to wait to hear back? Thanks for all the helpful details - it's so reassuring to hear from people who just went through this process recently!

I went through the exact same thing a few months ago! Error E311 had me pulling my hair out. What finally worked for me was calling the SDI (State Disability Insurance) line instead of the regular EDD number - they're better equipped to handle PFL issues. The number is 1-877-238-4373. Also, try filing your application super early in the morning like 6 AM when their servers aren't overloaded. I know it's stressful with your October timeline, but you've still got time. Don't give up! The system is terrible but once you get through, the benefits are worth the hassle.

Thank you so much for sharing the SDI number! I've been calling the regular EDD line and getting nowhere. I had no idea there was a separate number specifically for PFL issues - that makes so much sense. I'm definitely going to try calling them first thing tomorrow morning at 6 AM. Really appreciate you taking the time to share what worked for you. It gives me hope that I can still get this sorted out before my leave starts in October! 🙏

I had Error E311 about 8 months ago when applying for PFL and it was a nightmare! What finally solved it for me was discovering that my employer had submitted incorrect wage information to EDD. The error wasn't actually about my personal info - it was because their records showed different employment dates than what I was putting on my application. I had to get HR to call EDD directly and correct the wage reporting. It took about 10 business days to update in their system, but after that my application went through smoothly. Might be worth checking with your employer to see if there are any discrepancies in what they reported vs what you're entering. Also, if you have access to your most recent pay stub or W-2, double-check that the employer name matches exactly how it appears in EDD's system. Good luck!

When my twins were sick last year I had the same problem! So frustrating right? I ended up going to the actual EDD office in person. Had to wait for 2 hours but at least I finally talked to someone who could help. If you have an office nearby might be worth trying.

I didn't even think about going in person! There's an office about 30 minutes from me. That might be my backup plan if I can't reach anyone by phone. Thanks for the suggestion!

Just wanted to add that if you're dealing with RSV specifically, make sure to ask your pediatrician for a detailed medical certification that explains why YOU need to be home caring for the baby (not just that the baby is sick). EDD sometimes pushes back on caregiving claims if the medical cert doesn't clearly state the parent's presence is medically necessary for the child's recovery. Also, if you do end up using the caregiving option instead of extending bonding time, keep in mind that caregiving PFL has different rules - you can take it intermittently if needed, which might be helpful if your baby's recovery isn't linear. Hope your little one feels better soon and that you get this sorted out quickly!

I experienced this exact same issue last month! The was definitely causing problems for me. What worked was: 1. Temporarily disable and use your regular connection 2. Use Chrome in incognito mode 3. Save your progress frequently using the "Save Draft" button 4. Make sure you're clicking "Submit" AND then "Confirm Submission" on the final page The key thing I missed initially was that there are actually TWO final steps - you have to click submit, then on the next page click "Confirm Submission" to actually get it out of draft status. Once I did that properly, I got my confirmation number immediately and could upload the medical certification. Also, being out of country shouldn't disqualify you from PFL as long as you're caring for a qualifying family member. Just make sure you have all the proper documentation ready. Good luck!

This is incredibly helpful, thank you! I think the two-step submission process might be exactly what I was missing. I've been getting to a confirmation page but may not have been clicking that final "Confirm Submission" button. That would explain why it stays in draft status and I never get a confirmation number. I'll definitely try disabling the and using Chrome incognito mode too. Really appreciate you sharing the specific steps that worked for you - it gives me hope that I can get this sorted out!

I had this exact same problem a few weeks ago! The issue for me was definitely the - EDD's system seems to flag international IP addresses and won't properly process the submission. Here's what finally worked: 1. Disconnect from completely 2. Clear browser cache and cookies 3. Use Chrome or Firefox (Edge gave me issues) 4. Fill out the entire form in one session - don't save and come back later 5. After clicking "Submit" make sure you see a page with an actual confirmation number (not just "submitted successfully") The fact that you're caring for family in shouldn't disqualify you, but the is likely the culprit. I also recommend calling EDD at 1-877-238-4373 and selecting the PFL option - they can see if there are any partial submissions stuck in their system under your SSN and clear them out. One more tip: try submitting between 6-8 AM PST when their servers have less traffic. That seemed to make a difference for me too. Hope this helps!
