Have you checked your spam folder? Sometimes important emails from EDD end up there. Also, make sure your contact info is up to date in their system.
Unpopular opinion: maybe we should all show up at the EDD office and protest. Might get some media attention and force them to address the delays. Who's with me? ✊
Pro tip: if you can, hire a lawyer who specializes in employment law. Yes, it costs money upfront, but they can often get you way more than youd get on your own. Worth it if were talking about multiple years of benefits.
OP, make sure you've submitted all required documentation. Sometimes they don't tell you if something's missing and just let the claim sit there 🙄

Has anyone tried reaching out to their local representative? I've heard that can sometimes help speed things up.

•I did this! It actually helped a lot. My case got resolved within a week after months of nothing.

•Which representative did you contact? I'm desperate for any help at this point.

FYI, there's been some changes to the EDD system recently. They're supposedly streamlining the process, but who knows if it'll actually help 🤷♀️
