If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

I'm new to this community but unfortunately experiencing this exact same nightmare! My certification forms vanished about 12 days ago right after I exceeded my original 3-week recovery estimate from rotator cuff surgery - I'm now at 5 weeks and still nowhere near ready to return to work. I've been frantically calling EDD every day with zero success getting through to anyone, and I was convinced my claim had been mysteriously cancelled or flagged somehow. Finding this thread has been absolutely life-saving! I had absolutely no idea that going past your original expected recovery date could automatically trigger a system pause like this. Reading everyone's experiences, the pattern is so incredibly clear - EDD's system just stops generating forms when you need longer to recover than initially estimated, but they provide ZERO communication about what's happening or what you need to do. Based on all the shared experiences here, I'm calling my orthopedic surgeon's office first thing tomorrow to check if they received any DE 2525XX supplemental certification forms or other EDD requests that might have gotten lost in their paperwork shuffle. The advice about having the doctor's office call EDD directly is genius - I never would have thought of that approach but it makes total sense for cutting through the confusion. It's honestly criminal that people have to panic and desperately search online forums just to understand why their disability benefits suddenly disappear without explanation. This thread should be required reading for anyone on EDD disability! Thank you everyone for sharing your stories and solutions - finally feels like there's hope for getting this resolved instead of just drowning in anxiety about lost income.

Welcome to the community, Fatima! Your rotator cuff surgery timeline (3 weeks estimated vs 5 weeks actual) follows the exact same pattern we've seen with literally everyone in this thread - it's honestly shocking how predictable this issue has become! You're definitely not alone in this nightmare. The fact that EDD just cuts people off without any warning when recovery takes longer than expected is absolutely inexcusable, but at least now you know exactly what's happening and have a clear path forward. Definitely call your orthopedic surgeon tomorrow about those DE 2525XX forms - based on everyone's experiences here, that's almost certainly what's causing the hold-up. The tip about having your doctor's office call EDD directly has been a game-changer for several people when forms got overlooked or misfiled. Once your surgeon submits the updated medical certification, you should see your forms reappear within just a few days and get backpaid for all these missed weeks. This thread really has become the definitive guide for understanding EDD's terrible communication around extended recoveries - I'm so glad you found it before spending weeks in panic mode like so many of us did!

Welcome to the community, Fatima! Your situation sounds exactly like what everyone else has been dealing with here. The rotator cuff surgery timeline you described (3 weeks estimated turning into 5+ weeks) is the classic pattern that triggers EDD's automatic pause system. It's really frustrating how they just stop everything without any notification, but you're definitely on the right track now! I'd also suggest when you call your orthopedic surgeon's office tomorrow, ask them specifically about any faxes or mail from EDD that might have been received in the past 2-3 weeks. Sometimes these DE 2525XX forms get mixed in with other paperwork and staff doesn't realize they're time-sensitive. If your doctor's office says they haven't received anything, you might want to have them proactively contact EDD to confirm your continued disability status - several people here have had success with that approach. Based on all the experiences shared in this thread, once the updated medical certification gets submitted, you should see your forms reappear pretty quickly and get those missed payments backpaid. Hang in there - you've got a clear roadmap now instead of just wondering what went wrong!

I'm brand new to this community and unfortunately dealing with this exact same issue right now! My certification forms completely disappeared about 8 days ago after I went past my original 2-week recovery estimate from gallbladder surgery - I'm now at 4 weeks and my surgeon says I need at least 2 more weeks before I can return to work. I've been calling EDD nonstop with absolutely zero success getting through to anyone, and I was starting to think there was some kind of system error or my claim got randomly flagged. This entire thread has been absolutely incredible for understanding what's actually happening! I had no idea whatsoever that exceeding your original expected recovery date could trigger an automatic system pause like this. Reading through everyone's experiences, the pattern is so crystal clear now - EDD just stops generating certification forms when you need longer recovery time than initially estimated, but they give you absolutely ZERO communication about why this is happening or what steps you need to take. I'm definitely calling my surgeon's office tomorrow morning to check if they received any DE 2525XX supplemental certification forms or other EDD requests that might have gotten buried in their paperwork. The advice about having the doctor's office call EDD directly is brilliant - I never would have thought of that approach but it makes perfect sense for cutting through all the confusion. Thank you everyone for sharing your experiences and solutions! Finally feels like I have hope for getting this mess resolved instead of just panicking about why my benefits vanished without explanation. This thread should honestly be pinned as a resource - it's clearly helping so many people navigate EDD's absolutely terrible communication system!

This thread is exactly what I needed to see! I just got my "authorized" notification this morning and was starting to panic when nothing showed up in my account after a few hours. I had no idea there was still a processing period after authorization - EDD really makes it sound like the money should be there immediately. It's so reassuring to read everyone's real timelines and know that 1-3 business days is totally normal. I'm definitely going to set up those bank alerts and stop obsessively checking my account every hour! Thanks to everyone for sharing their experiences - this community is already saving my sanity during what's already a stressful time dealing with my disability claim.

I'm so glad you found this thread too! I literally just created my account after stumbling across this discussion while frantically googling "EDD authorized payment not in account" at 2am last night 😅 The panic is so real when you're dealing with disability and desperately need that payment to hit! Reading everyone's experiences here has been such a relief - I had no idea that "authorized" was just step one of the process. EDD's communication is seriously terrible about explaining these steps. I'm in the same boat as you, got my authorization yesterday morning and have been checking my account obsessively. Going to follow everyone's advice here and set up bank alerts, then try to be patient for the next day or two. This community is already proving to be way more helpful than any official EDD resource!

Welcome to the community! I'm new here too and just went through this exact same panic cycle last month. Got my authorization on a Friday afternoon and spent the entire weekend convinced something went wrong because I didn't understand there was still processing time needed. This thread is honestly better than any official EDD documentation - the real experiences and timelines everyone shares here are invaluable. One additional tip I learned: if you have a credit union instead of a big bank, sometimes their ACH processing is slightly faster, so you might see your deposit on the earlier end of that 1-3 day window. But even with my credit union it still took about 30 hours from authorization to seeing the money. The waiting is brutal when you're already stressed about health and finances, but it really does come through! Definitely recommend the bank alerts suggestion - saved me from constantly refreshing my account.

Thanks for the welcome and the credit union tip! That's really helpful to know - I actually do bank with a local credit union so hopefully that means I'll see my payment on the sooner side. It's amazing how much more useful this community discussion is compared to trying to decode EDD's confusing website. The weekend waiting period you described sounds absolutely brutal - at least I got my authorization on a weekday so I don't have to stress through a whole weekend! I'm definitely setting up those alerts right now. It's so reassuring to know that even when it feels like something went wrong, the money really does show up within that timeframe. Thanks for sharing your experience!

I'm so sorry you're dealing with this frustrating situation while your husband's condition is getting worse. The EDD website really can be overwhelming to navigate when you're already stressed. Based on all the helpful advice shared here, it sounds like you have several good options now - the direct PDF link that Amara provided, trying different browsers like Chrome, and calling early morning as a backup. One thing I'd add is that if you do decide to call, have your husband's SSN and basic info ready since they'll need to verify his identity before helping with the claim. Also, don't forget that even if you get the paper form working, you can always start with the online application and use the paper as backup - that way you're not losing time while figuring out the technical issues. Sending positive thoughts for a smooth process and quick approval for your husband!

Thank you so much Brianna! This whole thread has been incredibly helpful and reassuring. It's amazing how supportive this community is - I was feeling so overwhelmed and frustrated, but now I have a clear action plan. I'm going to try the Chrome browser with the direct PDF link first, and if that doesn't work, I'll call early tomorrow morning with all his information ready. You're absolutely right about starting the online application as backup - I was getting so fixated on the printing issue that I forgot we could pursue both paths simultaneously. Really appreciate everyone taking the time to share their experiences and advice during what's been a really stressful time for our family.

I'm a newcomer here but I've been reading through all these responses and wow, this community is incredibly helpful! I'm actually bookmarking this thread because I have a feeling I might need to file for SDI myself soon (waiting on some test results). The step-by-step advice everyone's shared here is so much clearer than anything I could find on the actual EDD website. It's frustrating that we have to crowdsource solutions to navigate what should be a straightforward government process, but I'm really grateful for communities like this where people actually help each other out. Mei, I hope you got everything sorted out and that your husband's claim gets processed quickly. Thanks to everyone who shared their experiences - you're making a real difference for people dealing with disability claims during already stressful times.

Welcome to the community, Noah! You're absolutely right about how helpful everyone here is - I was so stressed when I first posted and now I feel like I have a whole support system of people who've been through this process. It really shouldn't be this complicated to access disability benefits, but having a community where people share their real experiences makes such a difference. I hope your test results come out okay and that you won't need to use this information, but if you do, definitely save all these tips! We ended up getting the form printed using the Chrome browser trick and the direct link Amara shared. The whole process is moving forward now thanks to everyone's help. Wishing you the best with your health situation!

I'm going through the exact same thing right now! Been trying for over a week and keep getting error messages when I submit the form. Has anyone tried using a different browser? I was using Chrome but wondering if Safari or Firefox might work better. Also, does anyone know if there's a specific time of day when their system works better? I feel like I've tried everything at this point 😩

Hey! I actually had the same issue with Chrome giving me error messages. Switching to Firefox totally fixed it for me - seems like their system doesn't play nice with Chrome for some reason. As for timing, I've heard from other people that early morning (like 6-8 AM) tends to work better because fewer people are using the system. Also make sure you don't have any browser extensions running that might interfere (like ad blockers). Good luck, I know how frustrating this is! 🤞

I just went through this same headache last month! Here's what finally worked for me: make sure you're using the routing number from the bottom of an actual paper check, not from your mobile banking app (they're sometimes different). Also, I had to disable my browser's autofill feature because it was causing weird formatting issues with the account numbers. Try using incognito/private browsing mode too - that seemed to help with the form submission errors. And definitely call first thing in the morning around 8 AM, that's when I finally got through without waiting hours. Hang in there, it's super frustrating but you'll get it sorted! 💪

I'm so sorry you're going through this Paolo! This is unfortunately way too common with the EDD system. I had my claim disappear twice last year and it was absolutely terrifying each time. A few things that helped me: - Try accessing your account from a different device/browser - sometimes it's just a display glitch - Call at exactly 8:00 AM when they open, you have the best chance then - Keep a log of every call attempt with date/time - this helped when I finally got through - Check if you received any emails about "account maintenance" or "system updates" that you might have missed The good news is that in my experience, the claim data is usually still there even when it doesn't show up. It's just their terrible system having issues. I know it doesn't make the stress any less real though. Don't give up! I know it feels hopeless but keep trying different approaches. You've got this! 💪

Thank you so much for the encouragement and practical tips! I'm definitely going to try accessing from a different browser - that's such a simple thing I hadn't even thought of. The 8 AM calling strategy makes a lot of sense too. It's reassuring to hear from someone who's been through this multiple times and came out the other side. Even though it's frustrating that this is such a common problem, it does help to know that the data is likely still there somewhere in their system. I really appreciate you taking the time to share what worked for you! 🙏

This is such a widespread issue and it's honestly disgraceful that EDD's system is this unreliable when people are depending on these benefits to survive. I went through something similar last year where my entire claim just vanished without warning. What worked for me was being absolutely relentless - I called every single day at 8 AM sharp, documented everything with screenshots and call logs, and eventually got through to someone who could see my claim was still in the system but just not displaying properly. It took about 3 weeks of daily calls but they were able to restore my access. The key things that helped: - Try different browsers and devices (sometimes it's just a display issue) - Call right when they open at 8 AM - your chances are much better - Keep detailed records of every interaction - Don't take "the system is down" as a final answer I also want to echo what others have said about contacting your assembly member - they have dedicated staff who deal with EDD issues and can often cut through the red tape much faster than calling directly. Hang in there Paolo! I know how stressful and scary this is, but most of the time your claim data is still there, just hidden by their terrible system. Keep fighting! 🙏
