If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

One more important tip: If your claim is ending earlier than originally estimated by your doctor, it's especially important to notify EDD. While stopping certification is the primary mechanism, having documentation that you properly notified them of early return can prevent complications if there's ever an audit or review of your claim. Also, make sure to keep your doctor's release form in your personal records for at least three years.

Great point! My claim was supposed to run through mid-June, but I'm returning almost two weeks early. I'll definitely keep all the paperwork from my doctor handy just in case anything comes up later. Better safe than sorry!

Just went through this process myself two months ago! Here's what worked for me: I called EDD early in the morning (around 7:30 AM) on a Tuesday and actually got through after about 45 minutes on hold. The representative told me that while you CAN just stop certifying, it's much better to formally notify them. She helped me update my claim status over the phone and gave me a confirmation number. I also followed up by sending a message through SDI Online with all my details like others mentioned. Haven't had any issues since! The key is calling early and being persistent - don't give up after one try.

Thanks for sharing your experience! 7:30 AM on a Tuesday - I'll definitely try that timing. Getting a confirmation number over the phone sounds like the ideal outcome. I'm encouraged to hear you actually got through relatively quickly compared to what others have experienced. I think I'll try the early morning call approach first, and if that doesn't work, I'll fall back on the secure message route that others have suggested.

I'm so sorry you're dealing with this stress on top of caring for a newborn! I just went through something similar a few months ago. One thing that might help while you're waiting to call EDD - check if you received any mail from them that might have gotten lost in the shuffle. Sometimes they send important notices by mail even when you filed online, and with a new baby it's easy for mail to pile up unnoticed. Also, when you do call tomorrow, ask them to email you a confirmation of whatever they tell you or any actions they take on your account. I learned this the hard way when I had to call back multiple times and different reps gave me different information. Having that email trail saved me so much frustration later. The waiting is absolutely the worst part, but everyone here is right that you'll get your backpay once it's resolved. Try to hang in there - you're doing everything right, the system is just being difficult as usual!

That's such a great point about checking the mail! With a newborn I've definitely been letting mail pile up without really looking at it carefully. I'm going to go through everything from the past few weeks right now. And asking for email confirmation is brilliant - I would never have thought of that but it makes total sense given how inconsistent their phone support can be. Thanks for the practical advice!

I'm going through almost the exact same situation right now! Filed my DE 2501FP three weeks ago after my disability ended and haven't heard anything back. Reading through all these responses has been so helpful - I had no idea there were so many potential issues that could cause delays. One thing I wanted to add that helped me while waiting: I called my local Assembly member's office and they have a constituent services team that can sometimes help with EDD issues. They can't speed up the process, but they were able to confirm that my claim was "in the system" and being processed, which gave me some peace of mind during the waiting period. Also, if you're really struggling financially during the gap, some counties have emergency assistance programs for new parents. It's not much, but it might help cover groceries or utilities while you wait for EDD to get their act together. Hang in there - from everything I'm reading here, it sounds like most people do eventually get their benefits with full backpay, even if the wait is longer than it should be!

That's a really smart idea about contacting your Assembly member's office! I never would have thought of that but having someone confirm your claim is actually in the system would definitely help with the anxiety. Do you mind me asking which county you're in and how you found out about their constituent services for EDD issues? I'm wondering if my area has something similar. The emergency assistance tip is great too - even a little help with groceries would take some pressure off while waiting for this to get sorted out.

@Melissa Lin - I had the exact same E318 error when my license was expired! The system definitely checks license validity as part of their identity verification process. Here's what worked for me: I called the DMV and got a temporary license number/confirmation that I could use while waiting for my physical card. You can also try using your renewal confirmation receipt number in place of the new license number. If that doesn't work, you might need to wait for the physical card to arrive. In the meantime, try calling SDI directly and explaining the situation - sometimes they can manually verify your identity and help you complete the registration over the phone. Good luck!

@Melissa Lin I actually went through something very similar recently! The E318 error is almost certainly related to your expired license. The SDI system does real-time verification with DMV records, so when your license shows as expired in their database, it triggers that error even if you've already renewed it. A few things that might help while you wait for your new card: - Check if your DMV renewal receipt has a temporary license number you can try using - Some people have had luck using their old license number but updating the expiration date to match their renewal - You could also try registering with a different form of ID if you have one (passport, state ID, etc.) The frustrating part is that it can take a few days for the DMV and SDI systems to sync up even after you get your new card. I ended up having to wait about a week after getting my renewed license before the error cleared up. Hang in there - you're definitely not alone in this struggle!

This is super helpful! I'm dealing with the same issue right now. How long did it take for the DMV and SDI systems to sync up after you got your physical card? I'm worried I'll be stuck in limbo for weeks.

I understand how difficult dealing with EDD can be. One thing that worked for me was using Claimyr to reach an EDD representative. While it's a paid service, it significantly reduced my wait times. However, it's always good to weigh the benefits against the costs and consider if it's worth the expenditure in your situation. Claimyr does offer a solution, but it is important to verify the legitimacy of third-party services and read user reviews. Also, relying solely on them might not be sustainable for everyone. Keep your official communications documented and consider additional routes like contacting local government representatives for assistance. Stay persistent and good luck!

Thanks for the balanced perspective! It's good to know there are options, even if they do cost.

I appreciate the insight. I was skeptical about Claimyr but might give it a try.

I'm going through something similar right now and it's absolutely maddening! What I've learned is to always ask for confirmation numbers or reference numbers whenever you talk to someone on the phone. Also, try to get the rep's name and ID number if possible. When there are discrepancies, I've found it helps to specifically mention "according to my records from [date] with representative [name], you told me X, but now I'm hearing Y - can you help me understand why there's a difference?" Sometimes this approach gets them to actually look deeper into your file instead of just giving you a generic response. Hang in there - the squeaky wheel gets the grease with EDD!

word of advice: dont bother with the online chat support. I wasted 2 hours yesterday and got nowhere. Calling is your best bet

I had the exact same problem with the Money Network app last month! The app kept crashing every time I tried to check my balance or transfer money. I called the EDD customer service line and asked to switch to paper checks - it was honestly one of the best decisions I made. The representative was actually pretty helpful once I got through. Just make sure you have your account info ready when you call, and like others mentioned, be prepared for a long wait time. The switch took about 10 business days for me, and now I don't have to deal with that buggy app anymore. Hope this helps!

Thanks for sharing your experience! 10 business days sounds reasonable. Did you have to provide any specific documentation when you called, or was it pretty straightforward to make the switch? I'm planning to call tomorrow and want to be prepared.
