If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

UPDATE: I used Claimyr this morning and actually got through to an EDD rep in about 40 minutes! They confirmed my payment was processed but waiting for the new Money Network card to be mailed. The rep was able to expedite my card and said I should receive it within 3 business days. They also noted in my account that I've been approved for benefits so I was able to use that confirmation to get a short extension on my rent payment. Thank you all for the helpful advice!

Glad you got it resolved! Just remember to activate the card immediately when it arrives, and set up direct deposit for future payments if you want to avoid the card entirely.

Great to see this worked out for you! For anyone else facing this situation, here are a few additional tips that might help: 1. Keep screenshots of your payment approval notices - they can be useful when talking to landlords or creditors about delays 2. Once you get your new SDI card, consider setting up direct deposit through your online EDD account to avoid future card delays 3. The Money Network mobile app lets you check your balance and transaction history once your card is active 4. If you're transitioning between benefit types again in the future, call EDD proactively to ask about new card timing before your current benefits end The system definitely isn't user-friendly, but knowing what to expect can save a lot of stress. Glad Claimyr worked for getting through to a real person - that seems to be half the battle with EDD these days!

This is such valuable advice! I wish I had known about keeping screenshots of approval notices - that's brilliant for dealing with landlords during payment delays. The direct deposit tip is especially helpful since it sounds like these card delays happen pretty regularly when switching between programs. Thanks for sharing these practical tips!

Just wanted to follow up - did your payment show up yet? Most of my SDI payments hit my card the next morning after showing as paid.

Yes! It just appeared on my card about an hour ago (around 8:30am). Looks like they do the deposit batches early morning. Thanks everyone for the help!

hey just so u know for next time... if u ever need money RIGHT away u can withdraw cash from any bofa atm with the edd card as soon as it shows paid on the website even if the app doesnt show it yet... ive done this lots of times

0 coins

This is NOT true! I tried this and the ATM said insufficient funds! Don't spread misinformation that could get people in trouble with overdraft fees!

@Kara Yoshida I think it might depend on your specific situation or timing. I ve'heard mixed experiences from people - some say it works if the funds are actually available even before showing in the app, others have had issues like @Philip Cowan mentioned. Probably safer to wait for it to show up in the BofA account first to avoid any potential problems!

btw dont forget you need to certify for unemployment every 2 weeks!!! sdI is different its like once a month i think? i missed my first ui certification deadline cuz i didnt know lol

Great question! I went through this exact transition about 8 months ago. Yes, you can definitely switch from SDI to UI once your doctor releases you - they're completely separate programs with different funding sources, so using SDI doesn't affect your UI eligibility. A few key things I learned the hard way: 1. Get your doctor's release in writing stating you're cleared for work WITHOUT restrictions - this is crucial 2. Apply for UI the same day your SDI ends, but expect a 2-3 week processing delay for first payment 3. Be prepared for a significant income drop - UI pays much less than SDI (I went from $1,100/week to $520/week) 4. Start your job search immediately since UI requires active work search documentation The good news is the wage base periods are calculated differently, so your SDI usage won't impact your UI qualification. Just make sure you have some savings to cover that gap period between benefits. The transition is doable, just requires some planning!

Plot twist: EDD is actually run by sloths. That's why everything takes so long 🦥😴

Hey now, don't insult sloths like that. They're way more efficient than EDD 😂

I'm going through the exact same thing right now! Submitted my medical forms 10 days ago and still showing as pending. It's so frustrating not knowing if they even received them properly. I've been checking the portal obsessively every day 😅 From what I'm reading here, it sounds like this is unfortunately pretty normal for EDD. Definitely going to try some of the suggestions mentioned - especially checking spam folder and using the online messaging system. Thanks everyone for sharing your experiences, it helps to know we're not alone in this!

This is such a common issue and it's infuriating! I went through something similar last month. One thing that helped me was creating a timeline document with all the dates - when payments stopped, when you actually returned to work, when docs were submitted, etc. Then I included screenshots from my online account showing all the submitted paperwork. When I finally got through to someone (took forever), having everything organized like that made the call way more productive. They could see exactly what went wrong and fixed it within a few days. Also, if you have any confirmation emails or numbers from when you submitted the docs, save those too. The system glitches are real and having proof that you did everything right is your best defense. Hang in there! 💪

This is exactly what I needed to hear! Creating a timeline document is such a smart idea - I wish I had thought of that earlier. I do have some confirmation emails from when I submitted everything, so I'll definitely include those. It's so frustrating that we have to jump through all these hoops for their system errors, but at least there's a path forward. Thanks for the encouragement and practical advice! 🙏

I'm dealing with something really similar right now! My payments also stopped before I actually went back to work, and it's been such a nightmare trying to get anyone on the phone. Reading through all these responses is actually giving me hope though - especially the assembly member suggestion and the timeline document idea. It's crazy how many of us are going through the exact same system glitch. @Skylar Neal, definitely try that assembly member route that @Leo McDonald mentioned - seems like that's been the most successful approach for people. And document everything with screenshots like others have said! We shouldn't have to become experts at navigating broken government systems, but here we are. Solidarity! 😤✊
