I'm going through the exact same thing right now! Been trying for over a week and keep getting error messages when I submit the form. Has anyone tried using a different browser? I was using Chrome but wondering if Safari or Firefox might work better. Also, does anyone know if there's a specific time of day when their system works better? I feel like I've tried everything at this point 😩
Hey! I actually had the same issue with Chrome giving me error messages. Switching to Firefox totally fixed it for me - seems like their system doesn't play nice with Chrome for some reason. As for timing, I've heard from other people that early morning (like 6-8 AM) tends to work better because fewer people are using the system. Also make sure you don't have any browser extensions running that might interfere (like ad blockers). Good luck, I know how frustrating this is! 🤞
I just went through this same headache last month! Here's what finally worked for me: make sure you're using the routing number from the bottom of an actual paper check, not from your mobile banking app (they're sometimes different). Also, I had to disable my browser's autofill feature because it was causing weird formatting issues with the account numbers. Try using incognito/private browsing mode too - that seemed to help with the form submission errors. And definitely call first thing in the morning around 8 AM, that's when I finally got through without waiting hours. Hang in there, it's super frustrating but you'll get it sorted! 💪
I'm so sorry you're going through this Paolo! This is unfortunately way too common with the EDD system. I had my claim disappear twice last year and it was absolutely terrifying each time. A few things that helped me: - Try accessing your account from a different device/browser - sometimes it's just a display glitch - Call at exactly 8:00 AM when they open, you have the best chance then - Keep a log of every call attempt with date/time - this helped when I finally got through - Check if you received any emails about "account maintenance" or "system updates" that you might have missed The good news is that in my experience, the claim data is usually still there even when it doesn't show up. It's just their terrible system having issues. I know it doesn't make the stress any less real though. Don't give up! I know it feels hopeless but keep trying different approaches. You've got this! 💪
Thank you so much for the encouragement and practical tips! I'm definitely going to try accessing from a different browser - that's such a simple thing I hadn't even thought of. The 8 AM calling strategy makes a lot of sense too. It's reassuring to hear from someone who's been through this multiple times and came out the other side. Even though it's frustrating that this is such a common problem, it does help to know that the data is likely still there somewhere in their system. I really appreciate you taking the time to share what worked for you! 🙏
This is such a widespread issue and it's honestly disgraceful that EDD's system is this unreliable when people are depending on these benefits to survive. I went through something similar last year where my entire claim just vanished without warning. What worked for me was being absolutely relentless - I called every single day at 8 AM sharp, documented everything with screenshots and call logs, and eventually got through to someone who could see my claim was still in the system but just not displaying properly. It took about 3 weeks of daily calls but they were able to restore my access. The key things that helped: - Try different browsers and devices (sometimes it's just a display issue) - Call right when they open at 8 AM - your chances are much better - Keep detailed records of every interaction - Don't take "the system is down" as a final answer I also want to echo what others have said about contacting your assembly member - they have dedicated staff who deal with EDD issues and can often cut through the red tape much faster than calling directly. Hang in there Paolo! I know how stressful and scary this is, but most of the time your claim data is still there, just hidden by their terrible system. Keep fighting! 🙏
Hey everyone! Just stumbled across this thread while desperately searching for E324 solutions and I'm so relieved to find I'm not alone in this nightmare! I've been fighting this error for about 4 days now and was starting to lose my mind. 😅 I've tried all the basic troubleshooting - different browsers, clearing cache, incognito mode during normal hours - but nothing has worked. Reading through all your experiences though, especially the success stories like @GalacticGladiator, is giving me so much hope! The consistent pattern I'm seeing with the 2-3 AM approach + Chrome incognito + disabled extensions seems like my best shot. @Jade O'Malley your troubleshooting checklist is absolutely brilliant - I'm printing that out as my battle plan! And @NebulaNomad I'm totally on board with the Department of Consumer Affairs complaint idea. We really need to coordinate something because this affects way too many people. It's honestly insane that we have to become tech wizards and night shift workers just to apply for benefits we're entitled to, but I'm so grateful for this community sharing workarounds and keeping each other sane. Planning my midnight mission for tonight around 2:30 AM - wish me luck! Will definitely report back with results. Thanks everyone for the solidarity and solutions! 🙏✨
Hey @Amina Sy! Welcome to our E324 warriors club! 👋 I'm also pretty new here but this community has been such a lifesaver. Four days of battling this error is absolutely maddening, but you're definitely not alone - we're all fighting the same broken system together! The midnight approach really does seem to be the most reliable workaround based on all the success stories. I'm actually planning to try it myself tonight too around 2:30 AM - maybe we can be part of the late-night crew together! 🌙 Your plan to print out @Jade O'Malley's checklist is so smart, and I totally agree about coordinating those Department of Consumer Affairs complaints. It's crazy that we've all become "tech wizards and night shift workers" just to access basic benefits, but hey, if that's what it takes! Best of luck on your midnight mission tonight - we're all rooting for you! Keep us posted on how it goes! 💪✨
Just wanted to jump in here as someone who's also been dealing with the E324 error - found this thread while searching for solutions and it's been incredibly helpful! I've been stuck with this error for about a week now and it's been so frustrating. I've tried all the usual troubleshooting steps during normal hours with no success, but reading through everyone's experiences here is really giving me hope. The pattern I'm seeing with the late-night approach around 2-3 AM combined with Chrome incognito mode and disabled extensions seems to be the most consistent workaround. @GalacticGladiator congrats on getting through - your detailed breakdown of what worked is exactly what I needed to see! And @Jade O'Malley that troubleshooting list is pure gold, definitely bookmarking that. I'm planning to try the midnight mission approach tonight around 2:30 AM. It's honestly ridiculous that we have to become night shift tech warriors just to apply for basic benefits, but if that's what it takes to beat this broken system, I'm all in! Also really support the Department of Consumer Affairs complaint idea that @NebulaNomad suggested. Even if we find individual workarounds, this systemic issue affects too many people and needs official attention. Thanks to everyone for sharing experiences and solutions - this community solidarity is keeping me sane through this mess! Will definitely report back with results. Fingers crossed! 🤞
Update: My doctor's office submitted the extension paperwork yesterday! They said they included detailed notes about why I can't return to construction work yet. Now I'm just waiting to see if/when it gets approved. Thanks everyone for your help - I would have been completely lost without your advice!
That's great news! Keep checking your SDI Online account for updates - you should see the status change once EDD processes the extension. The detailed notes from your doctor will definitely help since construction work has specific physical requirements. Fingers crossed it gets approved quickly so you don't have any gap in benefits!
Great to hear you got the paperwork submitted! Just a heads up - you might want to call EDD's SDI customer service line in about a week if you don't see any updates in your online account. Sometimes extension requests get stuck in the system and a phone call can help move things along. I know the wait times are brutal, but it's worth it to avoid any potential gaps in your benefits. Also, make sure you continue doing your bi-weekly certifications even while the extension is pending - you don't want to miss any certification periods. Keep us posted on how it goes!
Thanks for the tip about calling EDD if nothing updates! I definitely don't want to risk any gaps. Quick question - do you know if there's a specific time of day that's better for getting through to their customer service? I've heard the wait times can be several hours. Also, should I keep doing my certifications right up until my current claim expires on 8/18, or do I need to wait for the extension to be approved first?

I'm so sorry you're dealing with this frustrating situation while your husband's condition is getting worse. The EDD website really can be overwhelming to navigate when you're already stressed. Based on all the helpful advice shared here, it sounds like you have several good options now - the direct PDF link that Amara provided, trying different browsers like Chrome, and calling early morning as a backup. One thing I'd add is that if you do decide to call, have your husband's SSN and basic info ready since they'll need to verify his identity before helping with the claim. Also, don't forget that even if you get the paper form working, you can always start with the online application and use the paper as backup - that way you're not losing time while figuring out the technical issues. Sending positive thoughts for a smooth process and quick approval for your husband!

•Thank you so much Brianna! This whole thread has been incredibly helpful and reassuring. It's amazing how supportive this community is - I was feeling so overwhelmed and frustrated, but now I have a clear action plan. I'm going to try the Chrome browser with the direct PDF link first, and if that doesn't work, I'll call early tomorrow morning with all his information ready. You're absolutely right about starting the online application as backup - I was getting so fixated on the printing issue that I forgot we could pursue both paths simultaneously. Really appreciate everyone taking the time to share their experiences and advice during what's been a really stressful time for our family.

I'm a newcomer here but I've been reading through all these responses and wow, this community is incredibly helpful! I'm actually bookmarking this thread because I have a feeling I might need to file for SDI myself soon (waiting on some test results). The step-by-step advice everyone's shared here is so much clearer than anything I could find on the actual EDD website. It's frustrating that we have to crowdsource solutions to navigate what should be a straightforward government process, but I'm really grateful for communities like this where people actually help each other out. Mei, I hope you got everything sorted out and that your husband's claim gets processed quickly. Thanks to everyone who shared their experiences - you're making a real difference for people dealing with disability claims during already stressful times.

•Welcome to the community, Noah! You're absolutely right about how helpful everyone here is - I was so stressed when I first posted and now I feel like I have a whole support system of people who've been through this process. It really shouldn't be this complicated to access disability benefits, but having a community where people share their real experiences makes such a difference. I hope your test results come out okay and that you won't need to use this information, but if you do, definitely save all these tips! We ended up getting the form printed using the Chrome browser trick and the direct link Amara shared. The whole process is moving forward now thanks to everyone's help. Wishing you the best with your health situation!
