If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

Has anyone tried going to their local office in person about this? I'm wondering if showing up might get faster results than calling.

My sister went in person to the San Bernardino office last week and said it was PACKED with people there about theft issues. She waited 3 hours just to be told they can't expedite individual cases and she has to wait like everyone else. Total waste of time imo

Just wanted to provide an update - I've now heard from several clients that replacements for benefits stolen between May 1-10 are being processed this week and next. If your benefits were stolen after May 10th, you're looking at early June for replacement. The state has actually allocated additional staff to help counties process these claims faster, but there were over 40,000 theft reports in May alone across California, which is why it's taking so long. The good news is they are absolutely replacing the benefits - it's just a matter of when. I'd recommend checking your EBT account online every morning as replacements are often being loaded overnight with no notification.

Thank you for this update! Ours were stolen on May 8th so hopefully we'll see something soon. It's just been so hard making food stretch this long. I appreciate you sharing this timeline info - at least now we have some idea when to expect help.

Yay!! So glad you found them! Told you those envelopes are super easy to miss!

Great news! Glad you were able to locate them. Just a reminder that these P-EBT benefits are good for up to one year from the issuance date, so you don't need to use them all right away.

For everyone still waiting, here's some helpful information about the 2025 P-EBT rollout: 1. No application is needed if your children already receive free or reduced-price school meals 2. Distribution for Northern California counties began March 15 and continues through May 30 3. Cards are mailed directly to the address on file with your school district 4. The 2025 benefit amount is $1,850 per eligible child 5. Cards for children in the same household may arrive on different days 6. You'll receive a separate P-EBT card for each eligible child 7. Text notifications are sent if you have a mobile number on file 8. The P-EBT hotline (833-979-3329) can verify if cards have been issued 9. Once received, you must activate the card and create a PIN 10. Benefits remain available for 274 days from issuance If you haven't received your cards by May 30, then you should follow up with both your school district and the P-EBT hotline.

This is super helpful, thank you! I had no idea the benefits stay available for 274 days - that's good to know we don't have to spend it all right away. Last year we budgeted it to help throughout the summer when the kids are home and eating more.

Update: I finally got through to someone after using that Claimyr service the other commenter suggested. The rep confirmed my kids' cards were processed on April 10 and should arrive within 7-10 business days! She also explained that they're sending them out by school district, not by county, which is why some people in the same county are getting them at different times. Just sharing in case it helps others know what to expect!

That's great news! Glad you got some actual information. The school district explanation makes sense - my kids go to different schools in the same district and got them the same week.

I got mine for my 4 kids in Fresno yesterday!!!! FINALLY! But one of my kids only got $455 while the other three got $1,230 each. They're all at the same school so I don't understand why there's a difference. Has anyone else had this issue with different amounts for kids at the same school? Should I call and ask about it or just be happy with what we got?

This might be due to enrollment dates or attendance records. If one child wasn't enrolled for the full qualifying period (perhaps started school later or had extended absences), they might receive a prorated amount. Also, if one child was doing in-person learning while others were virtual, that could explain the difference. It's worth calling to confirm the reason, but these are common explanations for varying amounts.

Ahhh that makes sense! My youngest started kindergarten in October not August. That must be why his is lower. Mystery solved! Thanks!!

Update: After checking our white P-EBT cards from last year (I completely forgot they were separate from our regular EBT), I found that our benefits were loaded yesterday! $1,230 each for my two kids. Such a relief! Thanks everyone for your help and information.

Great news! Glad it worked out for you. The separate cards definitely confuse a lot of people.

i heard from my cousins friends mom that they might stop the p-ebt program after this distribution... anyone know if thats true??

0 coins

That's not accurate information. The P-EBT program has been authorized through the 2025-2026 school year under the most recent federal appropriations bill. While each state implements the program differently, California has confirmed continued participation. What might be causing confusion is that the benefit amounts and distribution schedule can change from year to year based on federal guidance and state implementation decisions. The current distribution is for the first semester of the 2024-2025 school year, and there will be another distribution for the second semester later in 2025.

Thanks everyone for the helpful info! I checked with my son's school and our address is correct, so now I'll just wait since our last name starts with V. For anyone else waiting - I found the official schedule on the CDSS website showing when each letter should get their cards.

can u share the link to that schedule? i have another kid at my sisters house with different last name

0 coins

Sure! It's at www.cdss.ca.gov/home/p-ebt under the "Distribution Schedule" section. You'll need to select Shasta County from the dropdown menu to see our specific dates.
